1. Hi Folks
Please help me keep this on the front page of GDP with the occasional kick so we can get sufficient exposure for the poll. I am truly interested in seeing the results - I hope you all are, too. Thank you. :)

3. Prediction

Obama: 80-83% w/ 200+ votes

This has been the result from every poll of this nature I've seen in the past week. Of course, if the supposed 'DU boycott' by certain people takes place, that percentage may be higher.

36. Exactly what I was going to say.
Well, not "exactly" I was going to say a very loud 9%, since that's where it is now.

15. Where are all of the pro hillary threads at DU coming from?
Every poll I have seen at DU has Obama way out in front, yet GD:P is always filled with pro Hillary and anti Obama posts. What gives with that? Where are all of these people coming from?

16. I wonder if they are participating in these polls
Yesterday someone suggested that all of the Hillary supporters were online M-F 9-5 -- so I'm trying to spread the polls out enough so that we get a fair representation of everyone at DU...

17. What's the point of these polls?
The DU has become Obama Underground. Why bother with these kind of polls when most Hillary supporters have left and gone to other boards?

18. I'm interested
I can't tell, from the boards, how many support which candidate. So in the interest of finding out, I'm asking. There is no agenda on my side other than finding out what the percentages are. At the end of the week, I will graph the results - and people can make of those results what they wish.

24. Last year, and earlier this year there were still plenty of Hillary supporters
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 02:09 PM by Beacool
on this board. Now, most have left except a few us die-hards. Some think that people will come back and we'll have a united party for the fall, but I think they wrong. The wounds are too deep and there's too much bitterness. Case in point, there are plenty of us who will not vote for Obama if he's the nominee. Sad to have to say that, but nonetheless true. In my state of NJ, if Obama is the nominee it will be a toss up if the state goes to the Dems. or Repugs. Considering that this is a traditionally very blue state, it's not good news for the party.

31. Yes, NJ will be a "weak" Dem. state
if Obama is the nominee. Internals show it and several other polls too. Hillary would win the state by 50% over 39%. With Obama as the nominee it's a toss up.

Also, 25% of Hillary supporters would rather vote for McCain, plus the percentage of people who would either stay home or vote for Nader. Considering that these polls were prior to the Wright controversy, this is not good news for the Dems.

30. Obama polls better in Wa. state
we've been blue for 20 years. Latest poll (3-20) Obama leads McCain 52%-41%, Clinton leads 50%-45%.
