Obama's "Rezko" lot: Obama is one lucky fellow
RezkoWatch appears to currently be on a roll with concidences involving tainted campaign cash, indicted political fixer Antoin "Tony" Rezko, 2008 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, and that now-famous "Rezko" lot.

The most recent episode begins on March 14, 2008, when Obama released a new list of Rezko-related campaign contributors whose money had been donated to charity. One $2,000 donation by a Michael Sreenan was contributed to Obama's campaign on June 30, 2003.

Noting this event, astute RezkoWatcher M Miller pointed out the following on March 23, 2008:

Please note on Obama's newest list of campaign donors released 9 days ago ... the same lawyer who works for Antoine Rezko bought the Obama lot from Mrs Rezko. He also, with his family donated large sums to the Obama campaign.

This is noteworthy because Obama and his campaign kept this info from all of the other inquiries pledging time and time again they had 'scoured' the donations so the earlier figure was the figure that Obama donated or returned to the donors, was in fact all they could trace to Rezko. I believe we should make the public aware of this and ask for a congressional inquiry.
The matter of the Obama-Rezko campaign contributions as being one Congress should investigate has been suggested before. That said, RezkoWatch took a closer look at M Miller's comments.

Miller is correct. First of all, Sreenan is a real estate attorney with Rezmar Inc., Tony Rezko's real estate development firm.

Second, as reported March 15, 2008, in The Politico
But the list doesn’t include five other contributions totaling $3,500 to Obama made by Sreenan. All of his contributions were made on the same days other Rezko associates and employees contributed often matching sums, including Sreenan’s first contribution on record, a $1,000 check reported on the same March 2000 day that five other Rezko employees also plunked down $1,000 each. Obama did include the other five Rezko-linked contributions on the list of those contributed to charity.

Some NEW info from OBama and His campaign...Obaba has NOT been open and transparent about much of his life..contraire to what his followers belive. He will go down with this Rezko case!

Michael Sreenan ,Antoine Rezko ,Rezko employees also plunked down $1,000 each. ,Abdelhamid 'Al' Chaib, Ali Ata. Aiham Alsammarae,: Aiham Alsammarae, Barack Obama, Emil Jones, follow the money, Kwame Kilpatrick, L. Brooks Patterson, Nadhmi Auchi, Rod Blagojevich, Christopher Kelly Jack Lavin, Stuart Levine,Pat Quinn, Lt. Gov. of Illinois, Rita Rezko,Michael Rumman more to come::::>>>FOLLOW THE MONEY!!

how can you support somebody who's $$$ from the beginning of his career is dirt money...you know this.. but want obama so badly to win, you're willing to let it go. IF this were Hillary in the midst of this ongoing trial you would want her to step down.(as you do now) Because some newbie from Chicago tells you he's clean...THAT'S is an oxymoron! "Chicago Politics"...clean...c'mon.

33. c'mon cali.
Obama has been embedded in Chicago politics from the beginning...How do you think he climbed so fast, outta no where. He was made. I'm sorry, I think this thing will explode within the next month...remember..Obama has not divulged all(I think you would agree)..he will be snared into answering more now, that he changed his tune and as the trial progresses. There are so many facets it is hard to keep up.

27. Based on what? Your personal prejudices?
Obama has generated a lot more interest than Clinton, and he doesn't have the negative baggage that she does. I know many people who say "anybody but Hillary," but only Hillary supporters say that about Obama. Women will not vote for her any more than they would have otherwise, but blacks will come out of the wood works, as will young voters to support Obama. They already have and there will be a stampeed in November.

Follow Clinton and get used to the phrase "President McCain."

21. HRC Rezko Trial coming in Nov. 08 - Bush Involvement in FBI investigation.......
Paul v. Clinton trial information:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=5226087&mesg_id=5230954

And this article that states the cover-up:

Bush Prosecutor Nixes Bombshell Rosen Tape

http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/5/18/94801.shtml

In a surprise move that shocked even the judge at the trial of Hillary Clinton's former finance director, David Rosen, prosecutor Peter Zeidenberg announced yesterday that he would not introduce the government's strongest evidence that Rosen is guilty - the Hillary aide's own tape-recorded admission implicating him in election fraud.

"The government does not intend to introduce the tape or elicit any testimony from the witness about that conversation," Zeidenberg told Judge A. Howard Matz.

(snip)

The explosive recording, made by Kennedy in-law Raymond Reggie during a September 2002 meeting with Rosen at a Chicago steakhouse, substantiated allegations by Rosen's chief accusers, Hollywood mogul Peter Paul and fund-raiser Aaron Tonken, that Rosen deliberately understated the costs of an August 2000 gala fund-raiser for Mrs. Clinton.

According to excerpts of the tape mentioned in an FBI affidavit, Rosen acknowledged to Reggie that the concert portion of the event may have cost $1 million or more. Rosen later reported costs to federal regulators of $400,000.

(snip)

News that the Bush Justice Department has decided to deep-six its best evidence against Rosen not only improves his chances for acquittal - it dramatically lessens the pressure on him to implicate higher-ups in additional crimes.

The Bush administration has a long history of abandoning prosecutions against top Clinton figures. Just last month, Noel Hillman - head of the Justice Department's Public Integrity Section - declined to prosecute former national security adviser Sandy Berger for his admitted theft of top secret terrorism documents, some of which he destroyed.

Instead, Berger was allowed to plead guilty to a one-count misdemeanor of unauthorized removal of classified material. Hillman recommended that he serve no jail time, and instead pay a $10,000 fine.

Hillman's signature appears on Rosen's indictment.

In 2003, the Bush Justice Department dropped a compelling case against Mrs. Clinton, despite strong circumstantial evidence that she traded votes in the Hasidic enclave of New Square, N.Y., for presidential clemency that her husband later granted to four village leaders.

Though New York's Hasidic community overwhelmingly backed her opponent Rick Lazio in 2000, New Square voted for Hillary by a staggering margin of 1,400 to 12.

In 2002, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York dropped an even more compelling case against former first brother Roger Clinton, who was accused of accepting bribes in exchange for presidential pardons.

In its first month in office, the Bush Justice Department struck a deal with Indonesian billionaire Mochtar Riady, who had funneled millions of dollars in illegal foreign donations into Clinton campaign coffers.

Riady was ordered to pay an $8 million fine and perform community service in his home city of Jakarta, where U.S. officials had no jurisdiction to enforce the sentence.

The Bush family has grown increasingly close to Mr. Clinton over the last year - especially since Bush 41 teamed up with Mr. Clinton in tsunami relief efforts. Recent reports claim that President Bush and his brother Jeb now refer to the former president as "Bubba" and "Bro."

In his opening statement in the Rosen trial, prosecutor Zeidenberg promised he would take great pains not to implicate Mrs. Clinton in any wrongdoing, telling the court:

"You will hear no evidence that Hillary Clinton was involved in any way shape or form. In fact, it's just the opposite. The evidence will show that David Rosen was trying to keep this evidence from the campaign."

...........

Move along, there is nothing to see here.

Bill Clinton Severs Ties With Burkle, May Reap $20 Million

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/22/bill-clinton-severs-ties-_n_82616.html

Wall Street Journal | John Emshwiller | January 22, 2008

Former President Clinton stands to reap around $20 million -- and will sever a politically sensitive partnership tie to Dubai -- by ending his high-profile business relationship with the investment firm of billionaire friend Ron Burkle.

Mr. Clinton is negotiating to end his relationship with Mr. Burkle's Yucaipa Cos. as part of a broader effort to protect the presidential campaign of his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, from potential conflicts of interest. Details of Mr. Clinton's involvement in Yucaipa and his efforts to unwind it come from documents and interviews with people familiar with the matter.

Clinton, demanding transparency, fails to disclose chief campaign strategist's ties to UAE wealth funds

http://www.jedreport.com/2008/01/hillary-clinton.html

During Tuesday night's Democratic presidential debate, Hillary Clinton renewed her call for "aggressive" measures to reign in sovereign wealth funds, the investment funds owned by oil-producing states like the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. She said she was "very concerned" about the multi-trillion dollar funds which are now buying substantial shares of American enterprises such as Citigroup and Merill Lynch.

Clinton, who first raised this issue six weeks ago, said the funds "need to be more transparent," adding "we need to have a lot more control over what they do and how they do it."

Despite Clinton's tough talk about transparency, she failed to disclose that her chief campaign strategist has close business connections with sovereign wealth funds owned by Abu Dhabi and Dubai, two small -- but oil-rich -- emirates located on the Persian Gulf coast.

The Clinton strategist, Mark Penn, is worldwide CEO of Burson-Marsteller, one of the most powerful lobbying and public relations firms in the world.

Burson-Marsteller represents sovereign wealth funds in at least two emirates

Last August, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, a sovereign wealth fund, hired Burson-Marsteller to represent its global interests.

Three months later the fund invested $7.5 billion in Citigroup, giving it a 4.9% stake in Citigroup and making it the firm's largest shareholder.

Before Abu Dhabi's investment, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal was Citigroup's largest shareholder, a title he will likely reclaim after Tuesday's announcement that he will expand his 4.4% stake in the company.

42. Where is Hillary's tax return, earmark and donor lists?

Showing transparency, Obama releases papers

—David Jackson and John McCormick
8:29 AM CDT, March 23, 2008

Sen. Barack Obama's campaign released a new set of documents Saturday in its ongoing effort to paint the Illinois Democrat as more open and transparent in his dealings than Sen. Hillary Clinton.

<...>

The Rezkos were among 117 people who were listed on that 2004 committee. The other two lists released to the Tribune included the names of 279 national finance committee members for Obama's current presidential bid and nearly 550 past and present Senate office interns.

Many of his top fundraisers were already known, but Obama's campaign had never before agreed to release the entire list. The other records also had never before been provided for review.

The documents were offered a week after Obama met with reporters and editors at the Tribune, as well as those at the Chicago Sun-Times, to discuss his relationship with Rezko.

Where is Hillary's information?

Reports are that former NY Chinatown Tong leader turned federal Informant Wing Yeung Chan has recently been escorted in and out of his facility by the US Marshall Service... I wonder if Chan Wing is being used to verify anything that Norman has reportedly told the told the US Attorney? Amazing how 18 months of legally obtained wiretaps & video recordings jogs a mobsters memories.
