(the VP) has to preside over the certification of the election.

Lots of Congress members protested but they needed one Senator to protest to contest the results.

None did.

I had to correct people on this matter a brazilian times. People would freak out about it from time to time.

The reason they didn't was because Gore requested that they not do so in the name of of National Unity.

After what he had to endure, I can certainly see why he did that but, talk about unintended consequences. The National nightmare that has ensued ever since has been utterly ghoulish really.

Then in '04 when there were even more voting anomalies and not just in Ohio, but in ALL of the swing states due to the implementation of all those nefarious EVM's, Senator Barbara Boxer bravely stood up to contest the results.

I thought, "Great and good for her."

Though then other Senators including both Clinton and Obama gave testimony calling the machines and the results into question, they could according to the rules, only have a hearing for a paltry two hours. Then they voted.

The rest my dear, is history.

I, having done activism against election fraud tirelessly for 2 years at the time, was entirely livid.

I'm still nervous about the machines and the questionable polls.

See the only way they can manipulate the results is by feigning a narrow margin in the polls.

There are far more Dems than Repubs. McCain is a thoroughly unattractive candidate and I'm not referring solely to his appearance but to his antiquated ideologies as well.
