14 painful things Hillary should know
Edited on Sat Mar-22-08 08:40 AM by nomad1776
HALPERIN’S TAKE: Painful Things Hillary Clinton Knows — Or Should Know

1. She can’t win the nomination without overturning the will of the elected delegates, which will alienate many Democrats.

2. She can’t win the nomination without a bloody convention battle — after which, even if she won, history and many Democrats would cast her as a villain.

3. Catching up in the popular vote is not out of the question — but without re-votes in Florida and Michigan it will be almost as impossible as catching up in elected delegates.

4. Nancy Pelosi and other leading members of Congress don’t think she can win and want her to give up. Same with superdelegate-to-the-stars Donna Brazile.

5. Obama’s skilled, close-knit staff can do things like silently kill re-votes in Florida and Michigan and not pay a political price.

1. Yep
"Obama’s skilled, close-knit staff can do things like silently kill re-votes in Florida and Michigan and not pay a political price."

Does this include having his supporters send threatening emails to Hillary supporters? Got news for ya, he will pay the price for Florida and Michigan.

9. BO "supporters" are getting exactly what they asked for through
their campaign of co-opting the well-established RW hillary hate talking points
earily on in the primary cycle.

For Democrats, with friends like these, who needs enemies?

15. Not sure I know what you're trying to say...
I'm guessing that you are implying that any criticism made from the right is not allowed to be discussed by people on the left. That would be convenient, huh?

What criticisms from the clinton "supporters" won't be used by the right?

It's a 2-way street so your argument is rather ignorant, moot and one-sided. doncha think?

16. How come when Hillary throws the kitchen sink at Obama
that's toughening him up for the GE, but when Queen Hillary takes a hit that's totally appalling and out of bounds?

6. Do these supporters work for the Obama campaign?
or are you trying to falsely smear Obama by using the interaction between two independent people????

2. #14 is the best:
14. Even though her campaign staff is having more fun than it has for a long time, there’s hardly anyone there who, given half a chance, wouldn’t slit Mark Penn’s throat — and such internal dissension won’t help her in the home stretch.

5. Painful Thing Halperin Knows (Or Should Know)
The Clintons don't give a crap. Winning and destroying the opposition are the only things that matter to the Prevaricating Pair.

7. Due Respect
But, Halperin is only putting together what others have already said and this is this week's take by this mostly right winger. At the beginning of the week, he was credited by his boss with being sure Edwards was going to endorse HRC. About a week ago he put up a pic of Obama as a rat on Time.com which the company had to take down. A couple of years ago, he and John Harris, who were then the darling duo of the cocktail circuit , used to regularly cream dems. No matter how much you like what he's currently saying, always take what he says with a big grain of salr.

11. Don't Know
And neither do any of us, say in the case of #'s 4, 5, 6, 7. 10. For instance, unless Nancy Pelosi states her views publicly, we only have his word for it and that is where the trusting the messenger part becomes important.

10. She can’t publicly say more than 2% of all the things she would like to say about race, electability, beating McCain and experience.

Get ready, they're loading up that other 98%. No way she leaves all those arrows in the quiver.
