Why I am very happy that the Clinton campaign does not know what we talk about.
After the Iowa County Convention there were a number of threads and we paid close attention to what was happening. It was a major delegate defeat for the Clinton campaign, she in effect lost 10 delegates to Obama. It wiped away all of their hard fought delegate wins of super Tuesday. For the delegate race it was as if Ohio never happened. The media made a note of it but the average DUer was better informed about than anyone else. Googling County Convention Iowa Results would bring you back to DU.

In my thread I noted that after Iowa that there was a real 'buyers remorse' after Iowa

And I highlighted several comments made by the Clinton campaign after Iowa that most certainly had an impact on their popularity and their delegates. It had a high visibility, lots of comments and lots of readership - with many expressing real surprise that the Clinton campaign would continue to 'piss on the caucuses while they were still making up their minds'.

Fortunately the Clinton campaign does not read and learn these lessons.

Today, as everyone knows, Govenor Richardson endorses Senator Obama.

The Clinton campaign responded:

“The time that he could have been effective has long since passed,” he continued. “I don’t think it is a significant endorsement in this environment.”

Richardson responded

But, you know, I resent the fact that the Clinton people are now saying that my endorsement is too late because I only can help with Texans — with Texas and Hispanics, implying that that’s my only value. You know, that’s typical of some of his advisers that kind of turned me off,”

New Mexico has 6 superdelegates currently committed to Clinton

There are over 30 hispanic superdelegates.

7. There's reading, there's comprehending, and there's giving a shit what we think
Even Hillary supporters will agree, she's not exactly known as a grass-roots candidate. I doubt that her top-down management style will allow room for the opinions of a few thousand peasants who just happen to be hardworking, loyal Democrats.

Heh - don't we know it. But, there is ONE person they have that CAN comprehend
pretty damn well, and I would bet anything he wished he had not jumped the gun and let himself be convinced to work for Hillary2008 so early on.

Based on his natural goodness and once sterling integrity he should have been a top Obama guy by now.

34. John, Elizabeth, now's the time!
Voice for peace, I do indeed hope the Edwards will endorse Obama. Only Obama will even try to do anything to help lower class and middle class people. The Clintons are happy to be among the very rich and privileged: those are their peer group, their best friends.

The fact that the Obama family attended a church where poor people went showed me that they wanted to stay in touch. John Edwards says she cares about regular people. Now is the time to show it, please. We will love you forever, Elizabeth!

Is Hillary running this campaign or BILL?

14. Carville calls Richardson a Judas on Good Friday
The reaction of some of Mr. Clinton’s allies suggests that might have been a wise decision. “An act of betrayal,” said James Carville, an adviser to Mrs. Clinton and a friend of Mr. Clinton.

“Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic,” Mr. Carville said, referring to Holy Week.

35. Carville is a SERPENT
Carville's long been in bed with Corporate America and out of touch with regular people. He's SLITHERED to a new low, hasn't he?

He never cared about the ideals of the Democratic Party, only about becoming rich and powerful. He has attained that to a certain extent by attaching himself to the Clintons. And for him to do such an evil 'us vs. them' against another Democratic candidate shows he's not a true democrat in his heart. Bill Richardson IS!!!!
