HRC vs. Obama: it's good for both of them.

Although it's getting rough in the Dem primary I personally believe that it's not all bad. Backup about one year and at that time when I thought about Obama running for president I concluded he maybe was interested in the VP slot or just a little primer for a run in 2012.

I personally didn't feel he was ready to be president. I didn't see him as presidential material and I thought he was naive about the complexities of a presidential campaign. Also, from what I read, he didn't feel a need to worry about election fraud.

And as for Hillary Clinton I felt some what the same. She needed more experience on the national stage and more experience campaigning.

But now we are running them through one of the toughest primary battles in years. And I believe it's toughening them both up for a general election battle where we know we can except Rovian tactics, swift-boating and Republican election night hijacks.

Certainly this protracted primary battle has it's downside but for me I see some upside in the area experience. The candidate we bring forward will be battle tested and in the view of the public more of a nationally experienced candidate.
