I truly hope Clinton Supporters do not boycott DU
Edited on Sat Mar-15-08 04:05 PM by Perky
Firs of all, the admins have been the epitome of neutrality. There is no institutional bias.

Secondly, ultimately we are going to have to find away to get along in the fall. A boycott would only be perceived hear as playing the 'whiny loser" card..

But there is a difference between being pro-Clinton and anti-Barack. ANd there is a certain portion of folks on DU wh have there heads up their ass in using their three posts to do nothing but bring up McClurkin, Rezko or now wright....over and over again....just as their are some that bring up Hillary's vote on the IWR or the healthcare debacle or ferraro or Billy Shaheen or Bob Johnson.

I wish they would boycott DU or at least find something Elsi to open a discussion about because the monotony of life without primaries to talk about for the next five plus weeks is just going to be unbearable.

People should spend more time telling us why the candidate of their choice is better and not why the other candidate might be so bad.

This is a time when whee should be practicing restraint.. because there is only five weeks until the penultimate Primary and n in PA. it is more than twice that long between the last primary and the Convention.

1. I agree 100%.
"People should spend more time tellins us why the candidate of their choice is better and not why the other candidate might be so bad."

That might just cause us to discuss issues that matter, like high gas prices for example, and who has the best plan to help working families fill their tanks.

17. "That might just cause us to discuss issues that matter"...
Oh, but it's so much better to fling "YOUR CANDIDATE SUCKS" back and forth a few hundred times a day. Never mind posting something that might inspire some of us to vote for the D in the general election.

I don't think I've ever been so disgusted with a primary race or two democratic candidates (or their supporters) as I am in this election year.

But any internet forum site that is not moderated will be bias against those are more more mature, older and less likely to visit internet forums. Those people also tend to be Clinton supporters. This forum is not moderated , and you are going to get alot of trolls, and most of them tend to be younger kids who don't have much to do and like to spend their time on internet forums and they tend to be Obama supporters.

This forum IS moderated. There are deleted posts, locks threads, etc. And the fact that both sides whine about it I'd say it's pretty fair moderation too.

Your post is assumption, innuendo and ignorance all wrapped in one.

I'm new to DU but besides Bartcop it's the most even handed.

Now I'm not talking about the posters, as it's clear who the majority favors, but the administrators have been fair.

Christ Almighty-it's like you wandered over to some anti-Obama hate-fest board-every other thread is people trying to convince I don't know who, that Obama should just quit the race now because it's all over. I haven't SEEN such desperation here since the week before New Hampshire

There is a distinct difference with the way some of the Obama supporter address the Clintons vs Clinton supporters address the Obamas.

41. i agree on rampant myopia, but would say that the obama supporters tend to be more vitriolic
Hillbot, calling her slime and a bitch, and much worse...

the worst i have seen is calling him a liar on this pastor gate thing. maybe i have not been around long enough, but just from what i have seen, the terminology has been much ruder coming from that direction.

but potato, tomato

Most of the pure venomous speech I have seen on here has come from the Obama camp and I am honestly quite shocked.

9. One correction: I don't consider PA "pentultimate".. Obama doesn't have to win to stay
ahead in states won, delegates, momentum or popular vote. Its buying into the clinton's ever-changing spin to buy into that latest moving of the goal posts.

"Boycott" implies some level of concerted intention. In my case, I just don't like what this forum and the political dialogue in general has become. I'm not boycotting. I'm just not interested anymore.
