I can see Wright's appeal
Even if you don't agree with him, you have to admit he's fun to watch in action. You definitely wouldn't stop going to his Church because you found Sunday services boring.

2. what about Hillary's Prayer Cell & membership in The Fellowship lead by Doug Coe?
is that really appropriate for a Democratic contender for POTUS?

6. Thank you ~
I am in a Prayer group at my church.

I would find it strange to be in a Prayer Group or a Bible Study with mostly Republicans.

We have a very close bond and are always there to lend support to each other.

Maybe that's how she became so close to the Rethugs.

15. they aren't just Republicans, they are essentially Dominionists. This is extreme. Their Mission is
at odds with not just the Democratic party, but Democracy and our Constitution.

Nobody ever talks about that.

20. men in power tend to associate with one another trying to figure out how to maintain their control

Freemasons, however aren't primarily about that.

3. He got married and had his kids baptised by this man. They are
friends and have been for 20 years. Obama has denounced some of the things he's said, but I love the fact that he hasn't denounced his friend. That means a lot to me.

9. I like his loyalty too
but I don't buy that he hasn't heard most of these remarks before.

He should have quit a few years ago, and this wouldn't even be a story.

He didn't have to quit his friendship, just this particular congregation.

There's a big hole in the story. He told Wright a year ago at the beginning of the campaign that he would have to distance himself because he's so controversial. Now he says this is the first he's heard of it. It doesn't jibe.

12. I'll bet YOU missed this little jewel, posted earlier
At the same time, Wright pushes back against prosperity preachers like T. D. Jakes and Creflo Dollar. Such "prosperity pimps" preach that capitalism is "synonymous with Christianity" (Blow the Trumpet in Zion), he complains. Wright also counters the black church's traditional conservatism on issues like homosexuality and gender. Trinity has a singles class called "Same Gender Loving," and Wright has encouraged women into pastoral ministry throughout his career ... Wright's particular genius is his ability to hold all these emphases together. He's a black pastor of a black church that is the largest congregation in a mostly white denomination. He's the spiritual shepherd of black nationalists and Christian pacifists ...

21. Please. Obama, the youth, is going to tell this man he respects what to
do, for Obama's potential future, the one that wasn't supposed to go far?

I hope you are enjoying this. I'm not.

4. These Comments Were Made Years Ago
Obama wasn't running then and says he never heard them. I am quite certain the guy isn't that controversial all the time. I think some of your comments would look equally as bad in the press. I know mine would.

18. I like the guy actually
my problem with it is that I know how people in middle america will react to this. And it conflicts with Obama's unity message. And it lays him open to charges about his veracity.

Put it this way, if I lived in the neighborhood, I'd probably frequent the church.

But I'm not running for President.
