I'm a delegate in Iowa. Just returned from registering...

Tomorrow all of the delegates "vote". I'm an Obama delegate.

I had a discussion with a few of our precinct captains and a few people
have reported that Edwards delegates are falling for Obama 4:1.

In the Iowa caucuses, Obama garnered 20, Hillary 18 and Edwards received 14.

Those Edwards delegates must go somewhere, and it appears that they may be breaking
for Obama.

Another interesting note, I was chatting with some people as I signed in and
a very nice woman and I began talking about what would happen tomorrow. She
asked me who I was supporting and I told her Obama. I asked her who she
was supporting and she said, "I caucused for Hillary and I am a Hillary delegate,
but I am voting for Obama. She's just too divisive and after everything she
said during the past week, I can no longer support her."

I know the information I'm sharing is just my experience, and what I've experienced
may not bear out across the board in Iowa. However, I think it's extremely
significant that a Hillary delegate would switch her vote.

This should be very interesting tomorrow. I'll try to take my laptop and blog
from the convention.

I'll definitely be voting for Obama. No switching here!

Glad the Edwards delegates are breaking our way.

I have a question about the Clinton delegate though. While I welcome any support for Obama, isn't it kind of unethical for her to switch, since she was elected by people who support Hillary to represent them?

6. That's a good question...

I think it is a very major deal when someone shows up to caucus for a candidate, then stays
late and asks to be elected as a delegate for that candidate--then switches. Usually, those people (including
myself) are the most loyal and involved supporters. In my opinion, it is shocking that this would happen.

Candidates win delegates, based on the number of supporters who caucus for them. So, let's say
that 50 people caucus for Hillary--and based on the total room count, she secures 5 delegates.
At the end of the caucus, the candidate supporters stay and elect 5 delegates--who will represent
those caucus supporters of that candidates.

So yes--this Hillary supporter technically does represent those Hillary supporters. And she is
voting for Obama.

It's allowed and it's not against rules or anything. However, it could be construed as "unethical."

I would feel betrayed if an Obama delegate--who was elected by fellow Obama supporters--did a
switcheroo.

It will be interesting to see tomorrow--if more of this switching happens and what exactly happens with
the Edwards delegates. Very interesting.

7. Don't worry about it
I read this week that Hillary is going after Obama's pledged delegates. I guess it's part of the game now.

9. Just to be clear...
Hillary may be going after Obama's pledged delegates, but Obama is not doing that.

This woman who "switched", did so on her own. She wasn't contacted by anyone and
cajoled into quitting.

Clinton may be playing that dirty game, but Obama is not.

Just wanted to clarify.

14. Maybe she's still representing the people, as many who initially supported
Hillary have been turned off as well since Iowa.

10. "Just your experience" but
I love hearing your experiences from Iowa, Two Sparkles.

"Another interesting note, I was chatting with some people as I signed in and

I am overjoyed that people(some people, anyway) are finally getting hilary.

That goes for any Clinton delegates, too. It's what makes the machinery grind forward. I'll watch for your updates.
