If only there was half as much outrage about McClurkin as
there is about Ferrero here at DU.

LOL

But hey, I understand.

Not.

17. People aren't bigots for questioning Obama, but people
could very well be bigots for dismissing Obama's actions.

Yes indeed.

10. Did anyone say blacks will burn in Hell for being black if they don't repent and become ex-black?
Nothing she said even comes close to McClurlin's hate speech.

2. agree, i really get angry when i think about Mcclurkin, just as i do Ferraro...
ferraro is a f'g asshole, and i am really fucking pissed about Mcclurkin. i think it's sad so few people say "get over it" here regarding that. obama should apologize at very least b/c he's gonna need the gay vote in November if he wins the nom.

3. You must have missed the 1000+ threads about it.
I think there have been a dozen threads about Ferraro.

No comparison, really.

9. Numbers of threads don't necessarily equate to
outrage about the incident, jackpan1260.

4. If there was appropriate outrage for Clinton deep-sixing BCCI matters there would be no Bush2, 9-11
the current Iraq war, or the plans on the table for war with Iran.

But, hey....as long as we have other matters to keep us distracted while fascism is right around the corner, eh?

12. I may have told you this in other threads,
But this is one of the top 5 reasons why I cannot vote for another Clinton. It would guarantee an immediate lock-down of Bill's Presidential records.

8. I seem to remember quite a lot of outrage re: McClurkin.
It was well-deserved too.

Maybe I'm remembering a different message board than you are.

13. I think most of the outrage was from gay people angry
about what Obama did and his refusal to apologize -- not from the many Obama supporters who remained silent about it, hoping (a) it would go away and/or (b) didn't want to offend LGBT DUers with their ambivalent feelings.

That's my take.

11. Where's that joker with the animated GIF showing someone beating a dead horse?
That's how the GLBT reaction to McClurkin was treated by many on DU. As if to say, get over it already.

But fuck it. If you don't understand now, you never will.

15. As someone who filled his share of the archive with anti-McClurkin
posts, I can say with confidence that you are full of it.

You sound like one of those McClurkin apologists who kept pointing to Rev. Mayberry's endorsement of Hillary.

16. Oh please. Are you telling me people are more outraged
about Obama hanging out with a homophobe, than they are about a former VP candidate saying Obama is only where he is because he's black?

Let's at least be honest Heaven and Earth.

I certainly feel just as disgusted this time around.

18. you have got to be kidding
McClurkin posts number in the thousands. 6 months later, there are still McClurkin threads every week. That's fine. I understand the outrage. What's not fine is lying about it. This will blow over within a few days.

21. Well let's just pretend the McClurkin posts number in the
thousands (and that's a lot of pretending alright)....would it have to do with the fact that people were so amazingly outraged by what Obama did?

Or is it because that story is from last October, and the Ferraro story is only 48 hours old?

You're not lying Cali. You're only embellishing.

19. I don't think Geralinde Ferraro has lived out her life as a bigoted racist
Unlike McClurkin, who is living out his life as a hypocrite, a pandererer.

Yes, I think that the McClurkin incident is worse (for one thing, it's much more than an interview - he actively campaigned for Obama, who defended him as beloved).
