Good news for our candidate running for congress. Petition cards done!
One of our Dean supporters here is running for Florida's 12th Congressional District against a very strong incumbent. He is one who votes with Bush on every issue, and he pays no attention to his constituency.

As of tonight, after hours of work on the part of many in our Dean group and the local DEC.....we have 4200 or more petition cards ready to turn in this week. It was not easy. This is a conservative area, and we actually had neighbors tell us they liked things the way they were. They did not want the GOP candidate to have opposition, and they refused to sign the card.

Many of our local Democrats refused to sign as well, causing us to wonder why they would. They are probably beholden to the incumbent, Adam Putnam. I remember another candidate here last year, JCMach1, who had the same problem in his north Florida district.

We are proud of Jeff for taking on this task. Please visit his site and check it out.

It takes courage to even consider a run against a Bush favorite with more money than God. I wish him the best.

2. Thanks, that was a long hard hurdle, too.
It is the first campaign we have worked on from scratch, and it is awesome task. The GOP incumbent is such an extremist, that we feel inspired to do it. It will not be easy.

3. Found out he turned in 20% more cards than needed.
In this area, this is a victory.
