Obama "You will not see me as the VP on the ticket".
I was watching MSNBC and it came across the ticker when they were going over the results.

Anyone know what speech or presser he said this at?

I like that he said this...

1. I believe it was a town hall in Casper , WY on Friday.
Of course, he may have said it again, since.

2. It's time to shoot down the 'Dream Ticket'
at every opportunity. It is only a 'Dream Ticket' for the Clintons. It does nothing for Obama in either scenario.

7. Hillary combines lack of experience with
mental instability and egomania - she's not qualified for ANY executive position (in politics or otherwise)

but thanks for volunteering for my ignore list.

that they have any interest in being VP, right up until they accept the offer.

6. Obama also said he would not run for President in 2008
But he certainly reversed himself on that one.

I'm not saying he would or would not accept a VP slot, or that he should or should not accept a VP slot, just pointing out a fact. It does neither Clinton or Obama any good right now for them to suggest they can be talked into the number two slot in a brokered deal. But either one could always say that they changed their mind for the sake of the PArty or the Nation by the time the Convention is upon us.

19. You bastard!
Now you've done it; you've beaten me to the punch AGAIN!

I'll go you one further: I won't take this as any "character flaw" or anything else if it comes to pass that he does precisely that. This is political trash-talk, and that's perfectly fair game.

Besides, as both of the candidates will tell you, "things change"...

If he DOES wind up doing this, I propose the following for anybody shrieking outrage: a pat on the head, a nice piece of candy and a suggestion to go jump in the lake.

10. HA!
'Arrogant' is to coyly suggest you'd be open to your opponent as your vice president when you're LOSING and have no realistic chance of winning fairly. The arrogance is on Hillary's side.

18. Yeah, and it's not arrogant at all for Hillary to say
"Hey, Barack, you can like totally be my vice president!" when she's losing.

The hypocrisy meter just broke.

15. "If you do not make me president I will just go home with my ball!"
Dude, BOTH sides need to be open to the idea that there may need to be a compromise.

One of those might just be a Clinton/Obama ticket.

After all, it seems pretty clear that at least half of the country likes one or the other and are okay with both. That means we get a gigantic historic chance at really messing with the Republican Party.

in 2008 so most anything he says is just meaningless words.

23. This post is not directed at the OP, but to the room in general.
Unless you have some link to show that Clinton has ever said anything about a "Dream Ticket" or has ever "offered Obama VP slot", as is so frequently stated here, you should really stop saying this.

I may have missed something, but the only reference I have heard her make is something to the effect that she knows there are a lot of people who wish they could vote for both and that could be a possibility in the future.

Obama has repeatedly stated that it is premature to discuss this, but he has never ruled it out.

I know it will be hard for the Clinton haters and Obama haters to accept this, but most of us in the real world like and support both candidates and would welcome with open arms a combined ticket. And the sooner the better.

If these two really care about this party and this country, they will combine their massive forces and go after McCain.
