The "post 911 world" myth is destroying the democratic party!

Since when is it desirable for democrats to campaign on fear? Since when did recycling paranoid cold war ads become a good idea? Since when do democrats find comfort in their "liberal" candidate holding a press conference surrounded by generals? Since when is building up your credentials by praising the hawkish nature of your republican opponent something to be proud of?

Since 911, that's when. The engineers of our new reality have done such a head-job on this country we don't know up from down. 6 years later, still gripped with fear, we've adopted the republican playbook and I barely recognize our party. Let's not play by their rules. Let's move on to a better, POST post 911 world.
