3. No
I see someone mentioned Nevada. Latest from Nevada is a Mason Dixon poll from 15-17th March showing Bush at 49 and Kerry at 38.

The most promising ones right now are OH and FL where all the recent polls show Bush and Kerry are tied.

6. No
Check out HedgeHog for the latest state by state polls:
http://www.davidwissing.com/bushkerrystate2004.html

Currently Kerry leads in the following Blue swing states:
IA by 10
MI by 10
MN by 12
OR by 5
WA by 6

Bush leads in the following Red and Blue states:
AZ by 9
CO by 9
FL by 8 (blue)
MO by 7
NV by 11
NH by 3
PA by 6 (blue)
TN by 11
WI by 6 blue)

Both Tied (or ahead by only 1)
NM (blue)
OH (red)
WV (red)

Among the swing states there is a clear trend for Kerry in the Pacific (OR, WA) and the Upper Midwest (MN, IA, MI, except WI) Bush in the more Southern states (MO, TN, FL) and Southwest (CO, AZ, NV except NM).

As of this moment, compared to 2000, Bush is much stronger in FL, PA and WI and weaker in OH, WV, and NH

8. Too bad Dean isn't the nominee
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 09:44 PM by WilliamPitt
We'd be losing far beyond the margin of error in every red state if he were the guy. No fussing about being close.

Just sayin'.

11. Is there a reason you have to keep kicking Dean?
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 10:58 PM by darboy
Do you WANT us not to vote for Kerry?

The guy lost. You won. And now, Dean is graciously helping kerry to win despite being viciously attacked by the man for 6 straight months last year. You thank him by taking shots at him. that's great!

If you can't see the reasons to vote for Kerry based on simple, basic facts about George W. Bush, and beyond anything I might say, then there is really no salvaging you no matter what I say or do, so frankly, I cannot summon the will to give a crap about what you might say or do.

I am, by the way, very grateful to Dean for the work he has put in. He hasn't complained. Not once. Wish I could say the same for...well...never mind.

You're sooo. grateful, you thank him with unwarranted potshots...

Furthermore, you have the burden of reaching out to those who supported other candidates. I would have the same burden if Dean had won. I certainly would not be talking negatively about candidates that are no longer in the race.

12. Try this thought experiment
Imagine that Dean won the primaries instead of Kerry. Now imagine I posted such graceless attacks as you have continually posted. Now, you tell me, just how good would you feel about voting for Dean. The fact is Dean has worked his ass off for your candidate while he has taken a vacation followed by elective surgery. And he deserves better than the cheap shots you continually post.

Edited on Tue Apr-06-04 01:14 AM by WilliamPitt
LOL. Try living without being able to lift your arm while being a candidate on the road before you define 'elective.' I defy you, by the way, to show where I have 'continually' thrown any shots at Dean. I actually haven't even written his name in months.

P.S. If I wanted to take the time to find 'graceless attacks' from Dean people about Kerry dated..oh...November, December, January or so, I'd make you feel bad. Really bad. Silly, basically. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.

But I could. Easy.

23. Not that you remember, at least.
I've seen at least a couple of Dean/supporters of dean bashing comments in the last couple of months. Perhaps you should SLEEP at night instead of trolling for opportunities to be snyde.

24. Elective surgery , my ass
I lived with a similar injury for about two years without getting surgery for it. Eventually, I lost almost all use of my arm, so I had the surgery and now I have months and months of very painful physical therapy. If I had taken care of it right away, I could have avoided most of that.

But you're right on the facts. It is elective. Kerry could decide he's prefer to have months of painful physical therapy while working in the White House. I'm sure he won't be too busy then

17. I just love this line of thought
Over the next 4 years we can debate how much worse we would have lost the election if we had nominated any one of the other candidates.

The opportunities to spout venom at each other will abound.

It's just another way that the early end of the primary season seems to have sucked all the air out of the room. Thanks Will.

Just sayin' And, Nader would not likely be a factor were Dean in the race?

As you can see, Nader may be a huge issue in the coming election.

10. It's getting closer
Yucca mountain is a big thing out here and the Repuke govenor(although I like Kenny Guinn) is raising money to go on the offensive about Yucca Mountain. We have a congressman here Jim Gibbons who was against Yucca Mountain and is total repuke. I will be going to the State convention on the 16th of April as a delegate from my county so I'll get alot more info while I'm there. Also I'm now a precint captain and we have joined forces with all the other precints to start on our canvasing and get out the vote early. Also making a decision to run for the school board. We have a Democratic womens group for the first time in I don;t know how long. Also our county has more money for dem candidates than they have ever had before. The Nevada Dem party is gearing up!

20. Well Mayberry, it works like this
When you have a candidate like Bush, backed by the nasty Mayberry Machiavellis, constantly running attack ads and all over the corporate media bashing Kerry, and Camp Kerry sits around, comfortable in the knowledge that it's Kerry's turn to be Prez, Voila! The predictable outcome is a Bush win.

The right wants it more, they are so close to accomplishing their goals. Kerry has no goals other than to never offend anyone so who do you think will win?

Julie
