The republicans have become too outlandish and brazen with their treachery and treason. If Kerry pardoned bush, he'd better forget about a second term. Democrats wouldn't stand for it.

gerald ford was from the same party and owed his presidency practically 100% to nixon. there might have even been a deal. in any event, his own presidency would have been incredibly distracted by ongoing nixon investigations.

kerry has no such parallels, except possible the 'distraction' angle. however, given the power republicans have, and will continue to have in congress, ongoing investigations discrediting the republicans would only enhance a democratic president's power.

no pardons, no way.
