7. Most of them isn't all of them.
I'm guessing the "small" parts she's withholding are where the problems are. Why do we have to wait until April 15th to see them?

12. Link?
Senate financial disclosures aren't the same as releasing her tax records.

16. Why would Hillary release them for McClain and Repubs but not us dems?
She said that. What is she hiding from us but the repubs will think is normal to do?

Does it bother anyone else that she would do it for them and not us????

15. Is that a serious question?
Because the american public has a right to see where you get your funds from before they are asked to vote for you, not after.

17. The usual practice is to release after the nom. I have no problem with it
but the perception is being built that it's going to be some huge deal when she does...if it turns out not to be, it's going to backfire.

I question the logic beihind making it a big deal. We'll see how it plays out.

18. There might not be nothing there
but american people deserve to know whats in there before we are asked to vote for her. I didn't know that releasing tax returns after the primaries was the norm, but that certainly doesn't make it right. Obama released his returns, she can do the same.

19. And she will. I just think its a weak thing to push. Regardless of the details
of which years, and how intricate they are, people know when tax day is....so on some level, IMO, it becomes perceived by the general public as "What's the big deal about relesasing them any sooner than the country has to file?"

20. We are not talking about 2007 tax returns
we are talking about 2006 returns and prior years. Bill Clinton has been the only president in decades not to have released his full tax returns. She is following in his foot steps if she doesn't release previous year taxes.

22. As I said before, I don't think the details of the situation will filter down to the voters.
And if there is no "there" there, I think it could be problematic.

27. I agree with you on the voters part
but if she is not releasing those returns I have a hard time believing that there is nothing there. Obama needs to make this an issue. If there is nothing there it should not hurt him, it is perfectly reasonable to demand that a person running for the highest office on the planet to release all their tax returns.

28. I could be wrong, but it seems to me she's letting him go on about them
to build up a lot of expectation which would blow up when nothing is found.

11. This is a non story.
She has been planning the presidential run for quite some time and I am sure she is smart enough to know what to do. Her tax records have already been available through the Senate anyway.

14. Why can't she release 2006 return now?
The 2006 return should be available NOW. This April 15th business is simply a distraction.

23. I just don't see how this issue
is a winning one for Obama. Hillary Clinton is very intelligent and would certainly not have anything damning in her tax returns. That would be quite a rookie thing to do, especially when you're running for president. It's a non-issue.
