why kerry's vacation was actually a good move....
during the 911 commission.
1) He is on a reading break (it's a known fact that as they say "The president is not a big reader")
2) We get to see him with his wife and family
3) gets to curse out secret service men (Hmmm, I wonder if the guy that "cut him off" was once on a bush detail?)
4) He can remain above the fray.... swooping down to comment later.

1. He probably needed a vacation badly
Stumping on the campaign is a gruelling task and you never wake up in your own bed. It's a wonder any sane human being would do such a thing to become the President of a populace so stupid.

3. Let the Bushies shoot their mouths off for while.
They've been doing a good job putting their foot in it without Kerry saying anything. He earned the rest.

4. Has it been verified that the guy was a secret service man ?
I may be wrong but I thought the press stepped away from that.

8. Did they....
The right wing is still saying that kerry dissed a man assigned to protect him.... I'm sure they'll cling to that to the end.
How do we know that that guy wasn't "sent" to cut him off?

5. Kerry can come back fresh and powerful...
Kerry should make the tv rounds talking about his policies for the country and stay above the fray.

Kerry should assign Edwards to attack Cheney on his criminal activities. Get Cheney out of his bunker.

Kerry should get Charlie Rangel to attack the bushies on the medicaid fraud. Charlie is on the committee.

Kerry should assign General Clark to attack the bushies on foreign policy.

etc. etc.

More books against the bushies are coming, especially Prez Clinton's. The bushies are against the wall and there's more to come. Don't even give up one inch to their advantage. We must crush the bush family evil empire (BFEE).

7. Rope-A-Dope
He let the admin. attack him while he supposedly had his guard down.

Meanwhile, enter Richard Clarke!

9. do you think?
that this was set up to give Clarke the playing field he needs and then when the bushies are about the kick him Kerry plans to rush in and defend the patriotic whistle blower?

Taking a break "cleared the field" for Clarke. Bush* can now tangle with Clarke while Kerry is freed to promote his proposals. It also delays the inevitable Repuke onslaught until Kerry can raise some money to fight back with.

12. Yup, I Agree, No Way In Hell the Timing Was a Coincidence
He vacations while the 9/11 commissions are going on AND Clarke's book comes out. He HAD to know about both things.

His not getting involved gives the impression he's above the fray. Other people can take the fight to Bush over Clarke's allegations, while Kerry stays positive. He's playing it just right so far. I don't expect him to be silent forever about Clarke's allegations, but so far, he's doing it right.

14. "above the fray"
And while Kerry remains above the fray, Bush* is diving into politics and right into the middle of the fray

11. I'm sick of hearing about Kerry's elitist vacation.
He worked his butt off campaigning for the primaries and took some well deserved time off to be with his family and refresh. What's the big deal? He doesn't need any excuses for the trip. Besides, practically every Baptist church in my area loads their youth groups onto planes and buses - destination - the ski slopes. Are they elitists? Geez - Bush is always going to his "elitist" ranch.

13. I agree...probably smart
Let the GOP fight amongst itself for awhile. As it is, some feeble attempt is being made to claim that Kerry is behind Clarke...yeah, right...I'm sure all Kerry does all day is look for ways to get publishing deals for Reagan appointees.
