OK, now I'm calling people names: The most fucked-up, idiotic, asshole losers EVER, are:
Ron Paul supporters.

Listen to me, you pathetic, anger-filled schmucks (noble Don Qixotes though you picture yourselves): Your guy is NOT going to win. Anything. Nothing. He's NOT going to win jack shit.

So you may as well save yourselves the trouble, not to mention the expense, of spamming my town with "Ron Paul" signs in illegal locations. Those signs, between my efforts, and the efforts of the town Highway Department, have a shelf life averaging about two hours.

Keep printing them, keep planting them, as we'll keep pulling them up and taking them to the dump. It costs us a LOT less to do that, than it does for you to print them. We have Zero Tolerance for illegal signs in this town, political or not.

Just so you know.

and we may have a show to sell to a Cable TV channel.)

(I think it's a valid concept, but I'm going to hold out for 50% of the profits.)

I thank you, as I always do, for issuing me a corretion.

that should shut the Ron Paul zealots up for awhile. They'll have to go back to proclaiming the Libertarian Party is the wave of the future.

15. As if that, plus the plague of illegal signs, would make any fucking difference.
It would be one thing if they had a hope in hell of ACCOMPLISHING anything (and Lord knows, I like an underdog); but it just seems that they're saying "We got nothing, but at least we can still annoy evryone else."

Just being prickish, and only for the sake of being pricks.

That must be a SAD life to live.

24. They are very naive
I know a TON of them through the anti-war movement. And a lot of them are 9/11 truthers - DEEP into 9/11. A lot of them are also anti-immigration. And the other interesting thing is that a lot of them admit they have never been involved in politics before and haven't even voted.

19. I actually shoved a Ron Paul asshole in the street the other night
I was standing outside the Obama victory party in Madison waiting for a cab home when a couple drunk Ron Paul asshats came by me. I was wearing an Obama hat, a couple stickers on my sweater and an Obama button on my laptop bag.

One of the Ron Paul guys walked into my space and started chanting "Obama Osama Obama Osama..." while his fat buddy chortled.

I stand 6'3" and he was maybe 5'6" and 250 lbs. I let him wank on for about 20 seconds and then knocked him in his fat little head so he flipped over and landed in the street, which was very icey. His buddy then started crying and tried to help the little fat shit up and they both kept falling in the ice.

A cab came...I flipped the bird at the asshats and went home. I looked back at them as the cab made headway and they were still struggling to get up... it was a perfect example of the Ron Paul campaign. A friggin' "Libertarian" who's anti-choice?

22. A big plywood RP sign near my house...
was blocking the view of anybody (not in monster truck) who was trying to turn out of my complex. So not only was it futile gesture, it was a public safety issue as well.

Rather than involve the cops, I simply took matters into my own hands. Now the neighbor kid has a nice new skateboard ramp.

Maybe I'll rent a van and drive around and collect all the plywood signs I can find, and maybe build the local kids a skate park. Hey, thanks Ron Paul!

How much money do these folks have to waste?

It's pretty clear he's never going to get elected to anything more than House member (R-TX). Certainly that money could be better utilized doing something (anything?) else. It's like wiping your butt with $100 bills. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

27. I love his slams on the Rethugs!
Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 10:59 PM by Lisa0825
I'm in his district. Yes, he is crazy, but he totally called out the Neo-cons back when most people had never heard the label (google Neo-conned). He has spoken out against the war, and he repsonded within 24 hours to my email concerning foreigners controlling our ports. He is mostly libertarian, so I agree with him about 15-20% of the time, as opposed to about 0% for run-of-the-mill Rethugs.

That being said, as much as I enjoy him pissing off his fellow party members, I hope he will lose his seat because it will be easier to run someone against a newbie next time than against him again.

30. I Gotta Disagree With Ya There Friend.
Edited on Thu Feb-21-08 11:43 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
They've littered my town too, and I must say at times I've been a little annoyed, but then the more objective part of my mind kicks in and I find myself respecting the people doing it. It may be for a candidate on the wrong side of the aisle, and it may be for a candidate that I can't stand, but the grass roots effort his supporters have put forth have been impressive and I've gotta respect that.

If Kucinich supporters put a tenth as much effort in maybe he would've gotten more than 1%. I hate that it's for a candidate I don't like, but what they've done is something we should all stand in a bit of awe at, because they've totally given name recognition to someone no one else had otherwise really heard of. When viewing it from an interest in politics standpoint, his supporters really kinda came through in ways that really have earned my respect. I hope you know what I mean by that, since I'm way exhausted right now and not really getting my thoughts out correctly.

I just think the Ron Paul supporters have put effort forth into informing the public of his existence, more than I've ever seen ANYONE on our side do the same, when it comes to issues we want to get out there. I just gotta kinda respect that.

32. Just the signs? Pshah!
Try living in Manchester!

For three days leading up to the primary, the Paulbots were marching up and down Elm Street (the main drag in downtown Manch), beating on drums and carrying 4'x8' signs on their shoulders. Apparently they are herd animals, since there always seemed to be about 60 of them at any given time.

If these guys (and they were 90% male) had actually canvassed and phone banked, their guy probably would have scored in the 20-25% range. They had troops, they had money, but they had no clue.
