With McCain embroiled in the "dating a lobbyist" scandal and the new investigation about his dropping public financing after using that to secure several large loans for his campaign, I have to wonder how, if at all, the Democratic candidates' campaigns may be changed.
It has been much claimed that Obama's and Clinton's stretch towards corporatism and conservativism is nothing more than a sham to attract "middle of the road" voters (who would have been right of Goldwater 40 years ago, but that is a different complaint) to their camps. With the GOP's last realistic candidate becoming more and more mired in scandal, will the Dem candidates return to their (allegedly) progressive roots and stop pandering to the right, will they start pandering harder to dissuade conservative voters from boycotting the election, or will they stay the current course of attempting to pander to both conservatives and progressives without putting off either side?
Edited question 5 to make a complete sentence. Sorry.
Further edit: It seems that there really is a limit to how big a question can be, my apologies. The full text of response 5 is: Obama and Clinton will quickly move towards a more conservative platform before November, figuring they can't possibly lose the Democratic base no matter what they do, and the more conservatives they can pull over, the happier they will be.
