Hillary Clinton Campaign Position On Pledged Delegates
Obama is making stuff up!

From HillaryClinton.com

2/19/2008 11:36:27 AM

There are inaccurate reports today about how the Hillary Clinton campaign intends to pursue the nomination. Here is our official position:

We have not, are not and will not pursue the pledged delegates of Barack Obama. It's now time for the Obama campaign to be clear about their intentions.

1. It came from Politico, not Obama.
And, I don't believe them. Why did they purchase delegatehub.com yesterday?

23. I have asked them, twice
No response.

I've also called the FEC and the DNC. The FEC made clear the her campaign must identifty domains registered under the auspices of her campaign but as far as the privacy WHOIS protection, it's uncharted territory. The DNC - I had to leave a message on voicemail.

and see how it is used.

I was hoping the campaign would at least verify whether or not they registered the domain(s). There are two of them:

http://whois.domaintools.com/delegatehub.org
http://whois.domaintools.com/delegatehub.com

One was registered February 14, 2008, the other on February 15, 2008

5. Not only did it come from politico, but Politico quotes people in the Hillary camp about it...
So, lemme get this straight. The Hillary campaign says they will go after pledged delegates to Roger Simon. Simon runs the story. Then the Hillary campaign says they will not go after pledged delegates, and demands the same of the Obama campaign? :wtf:

2. Can't trust Clintons for anything
Never never never trust Hillary.

She failed two terms to deliver Universal Health Care,
burns everyone who is close to her,
takes credit for others work,
urged her husband to bomb Kosovo,
tons of scandals she needs to distract from,
tried to change the rules for primary in Michigan and Florida,
now is whining about Texas primary rules

Never never trust either Clinton.

We lost congress because of them.

if Politico has some highly placed Clinton people leaking information out that this isn't so... now would be the time to tell their stories.

Want to bet that this hits MSM tonight? at least the cable part?

14. This doesn't have anything to do with the story
Either Clinton was doing this or planning this... or she wasn't. Her actions. It's a story because if true, it's a real blow to her credibility at every level.

19. & incompetent: she didn't file full slate of delegate candidates for PA Primary
Over at Talk Left, "Big Tent" comments on Clinton's failure to file a full slate of delegates for Pa's primary

The Incompetent Clinton Campaign

By Big Tent Democrat, Section Elections 2008
Posted on Tue Feb 19, 2008

Via Atrios, more evidence of the incompetence of the Clinton campaign:

"Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign failed to file a full slate of convention delegate candidates for Pennsylvania's April 22 primary.

This despite the possibility the primary proves critical and despite Clinton owning the full-throated support of Gov. Rendell, state Democratic Party leadership, Mayor Nutter and, presumably, the organizational skill all that entails.

And despite a Rendell-ordered extension of the filing deadline that could be viewed as more than just coincidental."

How could this possibly have happened? And make no mistake, this reflects on the candidate, Hillary Clinton.

9. Obama has no need to go after her delegates
Since he's leading in pledged delegates already. And his lead will increase once the WI and HI results are in tonight.

More in a bit.

Late Update: The Obama campaign has ruled out this tactic, too. Obama spokesperson Tommy Vietor sends me this:

"We would absolutely not use these sorts of tactics. Senator Obama is focused on winning contests and earning the support of pledged delegates."
