Its a sad sign of our times

That so many are convinced that the voters no longer choose the candidate. That somehow millions of people are completely manipulated into voting for the chosen candidate. How tragic that so many have come to the conclusion that their vote doesn't really count.

The fact that so many here parrot the idea that we are being set up for a McCain win by the media concerns me.

I would think watching this primary this year has proven one thing pretty soundly. The media doesn't know what the fuck its doing! They have gotten so many things wrong this time around they are afraid to take stances on almost everything. Time and again you hear the talking heads say "well we haven't been right about much"

I find this encouraging. Maybe its the internets starting to have a real effect, I don't know. I do know that the msm has proven themselves to be bumbling idiots over and over again this cycle. My confidence in them as disciplined organizers for the corporate agenda has been lowered considerably this time around.

1. I think you are right and this line says it best...

If you think of the collective consciousness of the U.S. as a biological organ you can view each person as a cell, and our communication are the packets of neurotransmitters going across the synapses.

Nothing has allowed us all to communicate in real time like the internet and has made the communication much more fluid and omnidirectional (as opposed to the nearly mono-directional media of TV, newspapers, and radio). In so doing, the internet has effectively made the collective consciousness "smarter" and has empowered candidates like Dean and Obama to organize use through this smarter neural network. This has aided spreading and reinforcing the theme and message of the campaign as well as raise funds through large numbers of regular people via small donations.

2. Well think about it, a majority of the country only have two candidates

When the primary rolls through Ohio, who do you vote for, the ones that are left.
The media drove out any candidate that didn't meet their needs. They have selected our candidates and they are still trying to narrow that down to one before the March Primaries.

3. The media is part of the elite few

Look down the list of media journalists, etc. who are members of the Bilderberg Group and CFR. They pick the candidates and the winner.

They are on their road to the World Order Government ruled by the few elite. As X-President Bush announced at the 10th NAFTA anniversary celebration on CSPAN, they had a slight delay (meaning Clinton's years) but are well on their way to the Americas Union. A Americans union of government and trade like the EU.

Hate to say it. Carolyn Kennedy belongs to them too.

It's not like it's not in print or the airways. People just don't want to think their government could do this to them.

4. There is no question in my mind

that the media chooses our candidates. If they hate someone, that person is doomed from the start. Howard Dean, Dennis Kucinich- good candidates, never given a chance because the media knocked them down. Obama- maybe a good candidate, not sure (I'm for Clinton after Edwards was gone) but to be sure, the media is on his side (FOR THE MOMENT that is), he's a good story, so they're pushing him hard.
And we, the voters, are like sheep.
