Clark: who's on board?
As a partisan I am not in tune with this. What's the list of official endorsements? Please limit this to political figures (congress, Governor,Senator, mayor et al) Is Dianne Feinstein on board for ex? Last I heard , she was John Kerry.

1. Why limit the endorsements only to politicians?

4. The official website used to list them
but it's not on there anymore (must have needed to make space for other more pressing things). Off-hand, there were a fair number of Texas Dems, Arkansas Dems (of course), Rep. Emmanuel from Chicago (former Clinton aide), Rep. Rangel, U.S. Rep. Dale Kildee (Michigan), Columbus mayor Michael Coleman, former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, S.C. Rep. James Clyburn, New York state Senate Minority Leader David Paterson, the Legislature's highest ranking black member, U.S. Rep. Lincoln Davis (Tennessee), Montana Senator Max Baucus, Former South Carolina Governor Jim Hodges, and of course the Clintons (just kidding!).

And then on the lighter side, there's Madonna, Ben Affleck (J-Lo by default), and his childhood pal Mary Steenburgen and her husband Ted Danson who are both pretty active Hollywood fundraisers.

Hope that helps!

Andy

9. Samantha Power too
Samantha Power is the Pulitzer prize-winning author of "A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide" and founder of the Carr Center for Human Rights at Harvard's Kennedy School of Public Policy. She lectures there.

I found this relevant since her book was one of the reasons I came to admire General Clark in the first place.

11. Feinstein voted for the Medicare bill, so I'm not so sure her
endorsement would be helpful to any Democrat. Read an article that stated her hubby was awarded a big fat government contract, and she shortly before or after that, voted along with the Repubs FOR the awful, terrible, shocking Medicare bill. So I get the impression that if someone pays her enough, she'll endorse 'im. But would it be advantageous? It didn't help Gov. Davis that she backed him in the recall effort.

15. Yep, that's the guy. A developer, got an army contract.
I saw Feinstein's speech at the Medicare debates (C-SPAN). It was perplexing. Then I read about the government contract thing. It made sense to me and explained her position on the bill.

14. Here's a new one
For Immediate Release
Date: December 30, 2003

Georgia Mayors Support Clark
Little Rock - Today, Wes Clark's presidential campaign received the support of Mayor Floyd Griffin of Milledgeville, who joined General Clark in Savannah, and Mayor Jack Ellis of Macon.

"It's an honor to have Mayor Griffin and Mayor Ellis stand beside me in my campaign especially since -- we stood together before -- as soldiers in Vietnam," said Clark. "These two men have fought hard to bring equal opportunity and economic development to people all across Georgia. And it's clear that Mayor Ellis and Mayor Griffin are giving to the people of Georgia as much as they gave to the military and to our country during their years of service."
