1. Not much discussion on DC or how much Obama won by. Maybe the numbers are not yet in

3. Maybe it's considered a foregone conclusion...

Between the "Latte Liberals" and the majority black population, DC has demographics that seem to hugely favor Obama, it's just a question of by how much. It doesn't have that many delegates at stake either.

7. If there weren't exit polls, how did MSNBC call DC for Obama with 0% of the vote in?

9. I am kind of pissed about that
They knew it would not be close, but they still should have conducted exit polling...nobody ever polls DC residents.

In some ways, it's a shame that the first (and maybe only) time the DC primary mattered had to coincide with the year Barack Obama was running...otherwise the DC Democratic primary would have been a bigger deal and the candidates would have all campaigned there and it would have received more media attention, such as exit polling.

What I want to know is how MSNBC was able to project it right away, before any numbers came in, without exit polling. Yes, we knew how it was going to go, but they can't report something as news without SOMETHING to back it up. Does anyone know what they used to make their projection?
