BREAKING NEWS
Chelsea stumps for 'mom'
Go ahead — ask Chelsea Clinton anything. She'll probably have the answer. The once and (maybe) future first daughter spoke for nearly an hour today at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on behalf of her mom, U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, and mom's campaign for the Democratic nomination. 1:20 pm

* Bill Clinton to be in La Crosse Thursday

4. The arrogance of Obama supporters combinded...
with the smearing of HRC in the press as well as his unwillingness to discuss policy is more than enough reason not to vote for him in the fall.

4557152, Why is Clinton abandoning Wisconsin and heading straight for Texas?
Posted by berni_mccoy on Tue Feb-12-08 04:43 PM

Is it because there are more delegates in Texas? Is that the idea? There's an entire week before the WI and at least 2 weeks before Texas. What gives?

23. How would Hillary Clinton take care of veterans? It's one her mom's

Chelsea was low-key yet poised, articulate and detailed, sounding more like she was giving a public policy seminar than a political speech. After a few opening words, she opened the floor to questions from the audience.

How would Hillary Clinton take care of veterans? It's one her mom's highest priorities. When people sign up for the military, "we sign up to serve them," she said, promising her mother would fully fund the Veterans Administration.

How would she handle welfare and the safety net? Hillary Clinton will push for more real unemployment insurance, Chelsea said. She'll also freeze home foreclosures for 90 days. Chelsea noted that President Bush announced a 30-day freeze this morning, but said her mom "doesn't think that's enough."

Asked about a childhood memory that shows her mom's character, Chelsea Clinton said that during her dad's presidential campaign, she and her mom were only apart for three nights. "She would always fly home" to be with me, she said. Even now that she's living on her own in New York City, when she gets sick, she still likes to go to her parents' home outside New York City. "She still makes me soup and applesauce," she said.

Clinton took 16 questions in all and was never at loss for an answer, most of which started with, "My mom ..."

26. Chelsea and Bill campaigned in most of the states Obama has won lately.
Bill's campaigning in Virginia didn't seem to make any difference. Obama even won among white men there. So I don't think that having those two campaign in Wisconsin will make any difference. Obama will still win big in Wisconsin.

(I am not tying to piss on a positive Hillary thread. I am just taking issue with the OP's assumptions.)
