Lies, lies and more lies. What is it about Hillary and the truth?
"There is just too much to be done, so we had to add some more people. There really is not significant change, we really just got to get more help, we just don't have enough help," Clinton told a Chicago television news crew.

For months before Iowa, campaign workers were upset at Patti Solis Doyle's abrupt, unreasonable and arrogant approach, hardly the way to influence loyal workers to the cause. After Iowa, it was worse, if possible. Her answer to (what should have been anticipated) bad news in the lead up to Iowa was to throw money at the problem, but without a plan, an organization, and really without any financial or political sense. Estimates range that she wasted close to an additional $35,000,000 over and above what was budgeted. On one hand, if it had been a knockout blow like Doyle and Penn had predicted, perhaps such wasteful spending might have been worth it. Unfortunately, there was no Plan B. Once they were ahead by 20% in Iowa, they never considered that they would tie, or lose. Surely 3d place was impossible. Except for one pesky detail. The Iowa voter.

As Super Tuesday approached, so did more bad news. A $500,000 parking bill just from New York. (JUST ON PARKING? ARE THEY NUTS?) $4 mill on Mark Penn, another $3 mill on his polls, and that does not include the moneys paid from her senate campaign to keep him aligned with her since 2000. The real bad news? They were out of cash. No money for caucusing. (which explains her insulting comments about how because her husband lost those states, they and their citizens were unimportant. Nice move, there, Hillary) No money for more polling. (Why else would Penn attend a book signing, instead of Working Hard On Hillary's Business on a primary night?) No money for a separate private plane. (Hey, let's sell that as trying to be friends with the media, as part of the campaign plan!) No money for suites or an entourage of make up artists, clothes specialists and other image makers. - - HOLD YER HORSES! NO image makers? And they want cash upfront? as do hotels, airlines, and more?

Her personal needs were the kicker, and the real reason why she loaned $5 mill to her campaign.

Considering the huge leads that Hillary had over the rest of the field, (20-28%, even higher in NY and NJ) when she started, any space traveler who left orbit last October only to return to see the detritus, the mess, the complete screw-up of a campaign in just 3.5 months could come to only one conclusion. The campaign was a trainwreck waiting to happen.

Too many top egos, (Penn, Wolfson, Solis-Doyle) clashing with even bigger egos (Hillary and Bill), without any national plan, no alternative plan, and no acceptance of bad news. It was and is a disaster. TO say that it was badly managed is to suggest that the Pacific is wet. As close as Patti was to Hillary, she was way out of her league, and too young, inexperienced, and to arrogant to learn on the job. Her leaving came 3 months too late.

The person who replaces her is Maggie Williams, a smart, forceful, and savvy manager. More importantly, she tries to put the right people in the right places. There are rumors that she can even listen to bad news without ignoring it, or without biting off the head of the news bearer.

The question that everyone has, especially the Super Delegates (who have been plied with non-stop calls and arm-twisting from Hill, Bill,. Chelsea, and many more), IS IT TOO LATE?

Patti was relegated to the bench, and told that maybe, if she stays on message, she can travel, rarely, and with permission, once or twice in the future. Translation, "You're fired."

Which brings us to Hillary's statement that was aired on Chicago TV with such rolling of eyes. "We had to add more people." Yeah, right. What is so hard with telling the truth? Why not say, "we did not like the direction of the campaign, and because we truly believe in this campaign, we have to make changes. WE recognized it and we acted quickly and decisively, just as we would in the White House."

but no. This campaign reminds everyone that it was, is and never will be Hillary's fault. She simply does NOT make mistakes, and even if it is painfully obvious, one simply does not admit it.

That trait, more than others, pisses off people who would otherwise give her a chance. On a simple, obvious, and well-known fact like this, she cannot admit it.

14. So you're saying she never said the above quote or that the quote is true?
I'd love to hear your arguments either way.

2. I don't even understand the quote
Solis' firing was to make room for greater numbers of people? Is that what the quote refers to? I'm confused.

her precise explanation for Solis-Doyle termination on Chi-TV.
local commentators are rolling eyes and leaving pregnant pauses, as though, "she's doing it again".

I suspect it means, "I will never admit to making a mistake, and now that we have such a huge task to repair what was damaged, I need to make room for people who know what they are doing."

Nor will she EVER apologize-kind of reminds one of a certain president who also never admits mistakes

8. it`s all about judgments-not experience
it`s obvious that hillary could`t control her staff from imploding her candidacy. it`s obvious she waited far to long before deciding to change her staff ..well one so far. it`s judgments that matter and so far she has failed.

so far obama and his staff have made the right decisions at the right time. so far their judgments are far superior than hillary and her staff's.

can she win the next four big states to cinch her candidacy? we will see

13. I am sorry you feel that way. There is one lie cited. Her statement
on Chicago TV. It was so ridiculous and patently false, that I found the precise words she used.

You think that Solis Doyle was doing a great job? You think that it is common to fire the top person in a national campaign smack, dab in the middle of the campaign? Do you really find her explanation at all credible? She could ahve used this event to send a reassuring signal. Instead, she reflexively lied, and probably made things worse, all unnecessarily.

Why is this so hard for people to understand?

Yes Hillary is vetted -- and yes, 99.5% of the population have made up their mind. For those who approve, this tactic is understandable and acceptable. For those who don't, it is positively toxic.

Thats called "polarizing" and no one masters that concept better than Senator 50.001%

What is this, an Obama rally?

Egos, parking bills, and adding people to a staff? Pfft. This doesn't "remind" me of anything EXCEPT more baseless right-wing-like attacks: And as Sen. Obama is fond of saying, it comes from "the top down."

My god, you Obama people are such total assholes. You really are. What employer should ever, ever, ever in million fucking years do that? What kind of asshole have you ever seen do such a thing? And yes, any employer who would do such a thing is a MAJOR LEAGUE ASSHOLE.

20. I've been fired from jobs, I've dealt with personnel issues,
and I've seen both hard and gentle letdowns and firings from pols and pros. There are some agreed upon code words, "We thank her for her service, but wish to go in different directions." or, "It is time for change and we are proud of and grateful for how much she accomplished."

But she won't even go that far.

As for firings, heh. I can tell you stories. Boy, can I tell you stories. But, no. Apparently, am an asshole, even though I remain an edwards supporter. Ergo, anything I say is worthless.

By the way, in this day and age, with the employer having all the power, and employees' rights being diminished, because of NAFTA, Hill's actions at Walmart and with Coke, and other anti-labor moves, employers these days ARE MAJOR LEAGUE ASSHOLES. Where have you been? obviously not in the real world.

21. Yeah, on TV?
You've seen employers publicly bash employees being fired on national television? Because let's be honest, that is what the original posts is expecting of Hillary, otherwise she is a "liar."

Like I said, you Obama people are complete and total assholes. It's not even debatable at this point as far as I'm concerned.

22. yeah, on TV. Never followed much Illinois politics, have we?
Yeah, I have seen firings that were less than polite. Yeah, in public and private industry.

Have you never witnessed a VP with a company, fired, and escorted out forceably with armed guards, without even the right to say goodbye, make a call, or collect personal belongings? It happens every day, in the real world. Unfortunately, because of NAFTA, IRAQ and other brilliant votes by Hill, it is happening all too often these days.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING? Obviously not in the real world.

You are right, it is not debatable. You are so wrong it is scary. Are you typical of Hillary's supporters? If so, Obama has nothing to worry about. They may be assholes, but at least they can find the voting booth.

23. A VP of a company does not get fired on TV moron
And yes, I have seen people get fired because I OWN a company. You do realize most HR policies for any decent company includes privacy provisions for employees, do you not? No, I don't suppose you do. This is so basic that you are just clearly an idiot.

Here -- it ain't like there isn't an accepted protocol:

http://www.smallbusinessnotes.com/operating/hr/termination.html

"Few supervisors and managers look forward to firing people. Nevertheless, you need to know how to terminate employees in a way that preserves their dignity while meeting your organization's needs. Even the most experienced managers experience stress and anxiety when they go through the termination process. Having a clear idea of the process won't make it any more pleasant, but could prevent you from making costly mistakes.

The key to a successful termination begins with hiring and continues throughout the employer/employee relationship. Having a good Employee Handbook and adequate training build a strong base for subsequent actions. Performance Reviews also play a critical role in a successful termination. However, the actual process of the termination is what stays in everyone's mind about the quality of the company, for a long time after the termination is over.

A termination impacts everyone - even the termination of someone that is not liked - will affect co-workers if it is not handled properly. In most states, employees have the right to claim unemployment benefits and drawing against your unemployment insurance often raises your tax rate. The burden of proof is almost always on the employer to prove the reason for the separation in unemployment claims cases. Make certain you are familiar with applicable federal and state laws. In some cases written notification may be required in advance of the separation.

The best you can hope for when terminating someone is to continue to have the terminated employee as a friend of the company in the future. The worst thing that can happen is a long drawn out legal process with lawyers and government agencies. And, don't forget that a former employee can be your best (or worst) salesperson."

Congrats on being a complete asshole and a moron!

You OWN a company? wow. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. I bow to such superior knowledge, wisdom, experience, and understanding.

TO determine who is being stupid, a complete asshole, or putting one's eggs in the wrong basket, when will you realize that DLC policies have been horrific for small companies? Heh, you know so much more than I. I've only litigated EEOC and Illinois Human Rights commission employment cases for 22 years, and for the last 7 yrs, concentrating on representing those downtrodden employees who have no employment contract, are fired without cause, have no union protection, or worse. And you are right, no company EVER violated its HR policies. Its simply not done. Ever. And every small and medium sized company is run by angels, angels who support Hillary. And they are always right, they never make mistakes, and they follow all the rules, at all times.

Three years ago, a female sales person settled her case against her employer. He repeatedly raped her, and even drugged her. She was too ashamed (being Muslim) to ever seek medical care or to tell her husband. Was that a violation of the HR policies, I wonder. Interestingly, there was nothing specific in the employee manual about drugging your Muslim female employees and raping them. There was also a serious problem of a lack of proof, given the lack of medical, but luckily, I managed to dig up a few juicy facts, like his love of filming his own exploits behind a one way mirror. I understand that the state's attorney is still investigation his other events.

To be honest, one of the best moments in my professional career was the hug, tears and thanks I received for a job well done, against a lying, cheating, raping asshole. I suspect someone as ill-informed as you would agree that boss was more of an asshole than I.

You do not live in the real world. That much is obvious. You think that citing a website from some college or high school course you took makes it all good and ethical? That all the real day problems are solved? That people actually follow what is written? Are you kidding? By the way, if someone tried to follow each word of advice in the real world, no one would ever start a new business. Reminds me of that movie Back to School. make believe crap vs. the real world.

Just look at the vote in the senate today. The written word, the CONSTITUTION, the law of this land, has been under attack for 7 years. Who would you prefer to fix 7 yrs of problems, a corporate DLC lawyer like Hillary, on the board of the largest, scummiest retailer in the history of commerce, or Barack? My preference would still be Edwards.

All I have to do is suggest that small businesses never admit to making mistakes, and I think we have reached the alpha and omega of my original post.
