After Southern sweep, Kerry addresses labor supporters and meets with Dean
~snip~
Afterward, Kerry heads to Washington for a much-anticipated sit-down with former rival Howard Dean.

Officials familiar with talks between the two camps said Dean is prepared to endorse Kerry, campaign for him and ask his own contributors to donate to Kerry's campaign. If the meeting goes well, as expected, aides for Dean and Kerry would spend a week or so orchestrating an endorsement, the officials said.

Word of Dean's expected endorsement came on the latest in a string of good-news primary nights for Kerry, who in the next few weeks is expected to have won enough delegates to claim the Democratic presidential nomination.

Looks like the Dean endorsement for Kerry is a done deal. :)

1. I hope Kerry adopts some of Dean's issues.

Like the issue of media deregulation.

3. So do I as I do not like the Dem to run from the middle.
I still think this running from the middle is wrong but everyone, that is in the know. seem to think I am wrong.I guess I am as that is how Clinton ran and he won and Gore did and got the most votes. I feel it is why so many do not vote. No reason of they are so alike.Bush will run as a Dem once more I am sure.

11. Actually
Kerry is more leftish than Dean. I hope he'll pick up on the FCC issues, but keep his mouth shut about it.

2. Dean supporters are not transferable like some assets are. I gave money..
to Dean's campaign - because I supported Dean's ideas and his bid for president.

I will vote for Kerry but not because Dean or anybody else told me too. And I will not send Kerry money just because Dean tells me to.

I've got an idea most Dean supporters will be the same way - we're a fiesty bunch and don't take well to people trying to tell us what to do.

4. Same here, Patricia. I supoported Dean. Kerry will get my vote, but
not my money or time. Dems may be hell-bent on nominating the "safe" candidate, but I'll be damned if I'll encourage them.

7. Oh yeah
And Kerry should adopt Dean's (correct) stance on the 2nd Amendment.

9. Dean: I endorse you if you pick up items 1 to 10 from my list - Kerry: ok
That´s how politics work and that is why it was important to vote for Dean. To give him more influence over what Kerry will eventually stand for once he´s President.

10. Some are singing the bush song: Are you...
with us or against us? I'm a Deaner and gave money to the Dean campaing, something I had never done before. I will give money to Kerry and support him 300% because our country depends on it. How I feel about Dean not being #1 is not as important as having Kerry guide our country into a new direction; respect for citizens, the world and our Constitution. Nitpicking will only elect bush and his criminals.

12. Oh no! Not that Gingrich-McGovernite threat to the Democratic Party!?
:eyes: Sarcasm off.

This doesn't surprise me at all...Way to go, Dr. Dean. I hope this true.

13. If Kerry keeps Dean for America alive and voting for him
he will win. Lots of my local Dean supporters didn't vote or were not involved in politics. Most, I think, we vote against Bush.

A Dean endorsement might swing a few more folks towards Kerry.
