A constructive thread: Poverty on the campaign trail
For a change of pace, in honor of John Edwards' campaign, I would like this thread to detail what each candidate said this day about poverty and economic inequality. Just the facts, and quotations.

Please keep the thread alive so that we can track it each day during the primary season.
The purpose of this is to help make us all aware of what is being said and possibly to positively influence the candidates.

Something like:
2/9 Obama stated "X..."
or
2/9 Clinton stated "Y..."
or any of the other candidates, like Gravel etc

I ask the amateur propagandists to refrain from their acrimony in this thread. Please do not post misleading or out of context information. If such information is added, I request that the moderators remove it.
