If Hillary Beats Obama in Louisiana...it's because of low Black turnout
I don't think anyone on this board can speak for the emotions New Orleans is still going through 3 years post-Katrina. I don't blame them for not giving a fuck about who becomes President...because so far the Federal Government hasn't given a fuck about them. It's a disgrace that nothing has yet to be done!

With that in mind, I've been saying for DAYS that Obama supporters needed to lower expectations about this sweeping crap being pumped by the MSM. NO ONE knows the demographics or New Orleans post-Katrina. Just because the New Orleans Saints have come back and they're holding Mardi Gras again doesn't mean the vast majority of the displaced Blacks have come back (the most effected by the flood). So if Clinton wins...it'll be because of that. It'll be an upset...but one that needs to be put in perspective. Because I HIGHLY doubt the rest of LA goes for Barack Obama (mostly white).

2. I agree. Low turnout is a bad sign.
Means the voters will skew older and white.

8. Oh yeah, because white people are always race-neutral!
Did you even think before you typed that?

12. When young people are interested in a candidate, they are brainwashed and in a cult
We can go on an on with this.

In my post I meant that it was not a good sign for Obama's chances, based on previous results. It was not a general comment on that demographic. Sheesh! :eyes:

18. it is about electing someone to represent the country, not just about Obama winning!
we all have our issues and our candidates... older people want their candidate to win too... and my problem is that when it is good for Obama it is good!

it should be what is good for everyone!!!

I was not making a general comment about voting.

Sheesh! :eyes:

21. why don't you get off your Obama above the will of the people BS!!!
older people have a voice too, they do not attend caucuses because they do not drive at night nor do they like crowds.... they are often disabled or have a hard time walking. When they have to walk blocks to attend a caucus, they simply can't participate. I have volunteered to drive seniors and knocked on doors on election day to drive people. Older voters often vote absentee because they can't manage the lines and stress.

But your sorry group insists that only young people count. Older people have lived through a lot and have a strong sense of the past and future. I personally value their input and vote!!! I pity the day you are old and no one allows you to vote and have your voice heard!

that the Clinton people lowered the expectations so much, that they will trumpet a win their as a major upset?

7. Surprise!!!! Displaced citizens in Louisiana have lost confidence in govt!
Hopefully nobody was expecting massive turnouts here. But if Hillary wins, it will still be a legitimate win, and clearly an upset.

More importantly though, it will be a rather clear commentary on what Louisiana citizens think of the Federal government. Why would they think the President would make any difference in their situation? They've seen years of lying at this point.

11. It is the Louisiana Democratic Party's fault that "NO ONE" knows who is or will return
As Nagin said,

"we only want the right people to be allowed back into the new New Orleans."

Then he signed a bill authorizing the demolition of all of the city's
public housing while the forcibly evacuated residents belongings were
still in them, passed UNANIMOUSLY by the Dem city council.

14. Ya know, we love John Edwards down here and his
presence was great in NOLA. You might consider that in your equations. I hope Hillary does win, but I will not ever forget how wonderful John Edwards was to our grief-stricken coast, New Orleans in particular. If Hillary wins, I wish he and she would consider a vp spot. If he doesn't want that, I hope he is on the cabinet. I know the Edwards and Hillary were friends and neighbors in Washington, I think that's right. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I believe Hillary joined Mary Landrieu in trying to right some of the horrible wrongs of New Oleans. I hope they're remembering that and that she will pull out a win in LA. Nothing would thrill me more.

GoMama!

15. There's another way to look at this.
Obama is the only candidate with any kind of organization there. If he's turning out his voters, he might win.

16. I am hoping the displaced were able to vote absentee ballot.
This Country should hang it's head in shame over NOLA. If I ever won the lottery, I would at least try to help one family get back home if they wanted.
