Let's put all the chips on the table.
We can probably win with either the Hillary hand or the Obama hand. With one hand, we may win with a slightly less majority. If that happens, we will simply have a continuation of the present politics - gridlocks and road blocks - and nothing of substance will get accomplished. Of course, we should be able to stop the Bush agenda from continuing? So the decision that we should make is, which hand has the better chance of giving us a more workable majority in the House and Senate? Twenty-two Republican Senate seats are up for re-election. If we could throw out half of those, we would have a veto-proof majority. That would be the ideal.

The question for me is: which of these candidates will get us more Congressmen and Senators? Which will bring out the more Democrats in the general election? The President, by himself or herself, is not going to get anything passed. He/She must have a workable majority in the Congress. It doesn't matter that much which one wins. It matters by how much they can win.

1. I'm all-in for Obama, because the stakes are high.
You said it right.

Will we vote for very minor change in direction with Clinton, or real change with Obama?

Hillary will move the country slightly to the left, but aside from the Supreme Court appointments, not much to the left. That's not enough. No Bush Lite.

3. You said it!
THIS is the key issue now. We know that when a Democrat takes the oath of office on Jan. 20, the Republicans left in Congress will vote as a person to try and block anything that is done. We must elect LOTS of Democrats who are willing to FIGHT to counteract this.

If you live in a district that is solid (a good Democratic incumbent in a safe seat), consider donating time and money to races that are closer. And, if you can, send money to the Kucinich for Congress campaign--we need to keep Dennis in the House! http://www.kucinich.us
