Her milquetoast management of Gore's campaign set him up to get robbed by the bush machine. She counseled him to "rise above it," NOT hit back, NOT try to build on the Clinton/Gore record (OTHER than Monica), and it cost him - and all of us. She's NO fighter and NO help whatsoever. Even if she had a good point to make, I'd give it a lot more credibility if it came out of someone else's mouth.

Maybe she should go back to being the "token" liberal seated on all those media panels of talking heads - in which there's a republi-CON, a CONservative from some GOP think tank, a reporter from some CONservative newspaper, and good ol' donna - bending over backwards to find all kinds of ways to agree with the other three on the panel. I watched one of those a few years ago and damned near tore my hair out.

SAME THING, btw, for that weasel michael o'hanlon of the Brookings Institution - which for awhile was the ONLY "liberal" think tank out there from which to draw talking heads for TV shows. And he, too, breaks his back trying to bend over and find ways to accommodate and agree with the bad guys.

Weasels like them we do NOT need. All they do is weaken our case (and our resolve), and muddy the waters about who stands for what?

donna lost me a LONG time ago. Her take on things and a dime will get you six minutes on a parking meter. And that's about it.

Can you imagine the outrage if the will of the voters is overridden by party officials? The party will be in tatters. Losing in November will just be the beginning.

As his Campaign Manager, I think she sabotaged Al Gore's 2000 Election Campaign. She's good friends with Karl Rove. And when it comes to defending the Democratic party at any round table, she is an absolute failure!

Though I disagree with her on many other issues, it cannot really be argued that if we really want to be a party espousing democratic principles with a small D, that the superdelegates should NOT override the votes of the pledged delegates unless there is a VERY good reason for doing so (aka the nominee is found to have committed a crime after the earlier primaries, etc.). To do it in partisan style as would be the case if "Hillary superdelegates" might do with voting her in despite her having less pledged delegates than Obama would really rankle the voters!

Whether or not she's a mole, and that remains to be decided, that is not the issue discussed in this thread, and shouldn't have any bearing on the legitimacy of her statement.

They have the potential to fracture the party.

Most of us are willing to support either one, but are playing the political game for our favorite primary candidates...and as it should be.

I don't buy this bs on the news about the party being fractured and the republicans unified. The only threat to unity are those superdelegates. let the people speak. The republicans are the party eating themselves alive. The base can't stand their front runner and that's hilarious.

We have two awesome candidates, despite me having thrown up in my mouth a little bit when I think about the possibility of another 8 years of a political dynasty. Since 1980 I've known nothing but a bush or a clinton. Reagan is really just a distant personal memory, mostly of my parents utter dismay at his popularity...something about "that murderer with dementia". I want new political memories.

But I can wait if I must. But I desire them now. So I voted for Obama and will vote for Clinton if I have too.

I hope Danna Brazile is emblematic of the rest of the superdelegates. We want the voice. You can have your's too, just go to the polls like the rest of us. And remember you get two votes. One for yourself and one for us.
