I have never bought the "cancelled each other out" thing. If that were true, nobody who knows anyone who's voting for another candidate would ever vote.
that you both voted for who you wanted which is what the Primary is for, casting your voice through vote. We should be voting for anyone other than that's who you wanted. It's great that during this heated race between Clinton and Obama you two each voted for someone else and the marriage isn't called off.
I'm hearing a lot of anecdote where husbands vote for obama and wives vote for hillary. And sometimes the wife manages to convince the husband to vote for Hillary.
I always have to laugh when I do phone banks for general election, because the phone bank sheet will list a couple and one will be R and one will be D and they both vote 99% of the time!
They motivate each other to vote and then cancel each other out. I always laugh about this when I dial, hoping I'll get the right one.
