Robert De Niro: "I would prefer Barack Obama's type of experience."

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/02/robert-de-niro.html

ABC News' David Wright, Andy Fies and Sunlen Miller Report: Campaigning today in New Jersey -- Democratic rival Sen. Hillary Clinton's, D-N.Y. backyard -- Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was introduced with a back-handed compliment by a surprise guest: Academy Award winner Robert De Niro who took criticism of Obama's "experience" head on.

"Barack Obama doesn't have the experience to run for President of the United States, and I can prove it," De Niro said, as the crowd initially booed.

"He did not have the foresight to vote for the Iraq War," De Niro continued, "You know: that's the kind of inexperience I can get used to. That's the kind of inexperience our country deserves."

Noting that he had never made a speech at a presidential campaign event before, De Niro said, "If this contest were to be decided strictly on the basis of experience, Dick Cheney would be our next president. I would prefer Barack Obama's type of experience."

13. Non political endorsements should carry more weight.
Politicians who endorse presidential candidates, generally have a political agenda. Some of them may expect a quid pro quo. However, with that said, a lot of the politicians who endorsed Obama seem very geniune and passionate about their decision.
