Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) and Barack Obama (Ill.) are running roughly even nationally as the battle for the Democratic nomination heads into Tuesday's big round of primaries and caucuses, while Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) has jumped to a dominating lead over his remaining rivals in the Republican race, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

3. McCain's beating both of them. Not exactly good news, or a surprise.
If the democrats could get their act together, they'd have pushed through the one candidate who could have beaten McCain: Edwards.

This is not good news at all. Who cares which one is the nominee when neither will win the general?

4. I think Dem numbers against McCain will rise when we coalesce around one candidate
It's natural for supporters of one Dems to say they won't vote for the other (even versus a Republican) - this will start to change when our candidate is finally decided upon.

7. I'm afraid the best
we can do in Az. is hopefully get him through the primaries.

There's no way either Obama or Clinton is gonna beat McCain here in the general.

10. No the best we can do is have a candidate that is so flush with
money that he starts buying ads in AZ and forces McCain to spend money and time there. Its all good.

11. I would love to agree with you
but this is still a red state.

A weird red state mind you, but a red state none the less.

If McCain The Grumpy gets the nod it will be real tough to beat him here come November.

12. Truly amazing considering Arizona is mostly Latinos and old people.
Which is basically her base at this point.
