I kind of thought it would try to be a little more balanced, did I miss something? Did Josh Marshall declare at the beginning of the race that they were supporting Obama? It kind of takes the fun out of reading the site.

1. TPM, Dailykos, Huffingtonpost are all extremely biased towards Obama.
In the case of Huffpost, it's because Ariana is an Anti-Clinton shill.

24. LOL! Josh Marshall is biased towards Obama. That really, honestly is funny. He's one of the most
actually balanced political blogs.

He laughs too cause he gets emails from all parties claiming he's biased.

29. and in the case of Kos
it's because the netroots are pro-Obama, for a large part.

2. Cause at this point, after all has been said and done
Josh favors Obama than he does Hillary?

Could be based on facts, you know. Considering Josh, I'd tend to think that this is why.

12. I'd like to agree but tend to think that the media, in general, is enjoying the story
of Obama.

3. Why this candidate is automatic ...
It's systematic
It's hydromatic
Why it's greased lightning

...

Go, greased lightnin', you're burnin' up the quarter mile
Greased lightnin', go greased lightnin'
Go, greased lightnin', you're coastin' through the heat lap trials
Greased lightnin', go greased lightnin'
You are supreme, the chicks'll cream for greased lightnin'

Great if you're a classic car, as the basis for selecting a President --- not so much.

13. There's also BartCop.
He's been telling it the way he sees it since 1996, and -- when it comes to presidential politics -- he has never been wrong.

He thinks supporting a rookie like Obama when we already have an experienced politician like Hillary is like a contestant on "Let's Make A Deal" passing over a new Lexus to take what's behind Door Number Two.

23. I gotta tell you
it seems a wee bit unfair to criticise Josh Marshall for not covering the 2000 campaign better when his website was launched in November of 2000, while he was a graduate student. I mean really unfair. Like what Sommerby always accused others of doing unfair.

let's recap. Sommerby is accusing Josh Marshall of not covering an issue in 2000 when he wasn't even a journalist then

so let's look at some more recent posts, shall we?

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/065284.php this one is a tortured explanation of how Edwards' withdrawal will help Hillary.

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/065262.php this one talks about the latest endorsement of Hillary, something I haven't seen covered anywhere else.

or this one: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/064811.php "And it's precisely because I'm looking forward to supporting her if she is the nominee that I hate seeing her being overshadowed by her spouse and having her husband bigfoot the process which diminishes her and makes me think her presidency could be a 4 year soap opera where Bill won't shut up and let her have a shot at doing the job. "

they are all over the place.

and for anyone who thinks he's too 'republican' remember that it was TPM that rode the USAttorney story and made it a national one.

27. Once again, Proud2BAmurkin, sheds the light on truth. TPM has not only shown strong
bias towards Obama but it's made trashing Rudy Gooliani into a past time that really wastes the readers time. Who didn't know that Rudy's campaign was done months ago, possibly a year ago? I think we all did. But Josh Marshall wastes valuable time filling it with Gooliani crap.

I find the only place I can find balanced reporting on either candidate is... gasp...DU. You just have to filter through the crap.

28. oh come on
Guiliani was in the lead, polling wise, as late as December. and TPM has been mocking him the entire time. They also mock McCain's hypocrisy, Romney's inconsistency and Huckabee's idiocy. and you know on a blog you can put a whole bunch of stuff up, right? bashing Guiliani doesn't take away space from other things.

Is TPM ultra-liberal? no. is it biased towards democrats? of course, I don't think Josh would argue that.

5. I know
I sent in a comment about the very unflattering photo of Hillary he had up at the very top of his site yesterday (or the day before), one that was clearly snapped as she was speaking and showed her with her mouth hanging open. I thought this very childish of him and that yes, it's pretty clear he is heavily favoring Obama. And you're right, I too don't go there nearly as much as I did previously because it's offensive that he's been so biased against Hillary Clinton. I think anyone who feels as I do should write to Josh Marshall and ask him why he is become so biased for one candidate over another. Balance is so important at sites like his as the MSM is so deeply unbalanced.

7. Eyes of the beholder: I feel TPM is very neutral
It has been praising and critical of all the Democratic candidates, and tends to stick to the facts. But it doesn't matter--I'm sure somewhere else out in the wild and wooly Internets, someone is complaining that TPM is sooo pro Clinton. I would never want to have a blog--you can't win.

30. yeah, I'd like one, too
since I posted examples of what I would think are pro-Hillary posts, I am waiting for the evidence of Pro-Obama bias.

I think the site, in general, works very hard to be an equal-opportunity critic of both candidates and their operations.
