1. PLEASE let it be Newt.
You know, to re-establish his conservative cred.

That'd be sweet.

9. Winning Florida probabbly won't be that hard for the GOP this year.

Especially after the disrespect for FL voters shown by the Dem Party apparatus.

Ohio is the real battle ground.

10. I think he'd pick Mel Martinez first.
Charlie Crist is relatively new to the job.

5. McCain and Thompson are old friends from the Senate.
It wouldn't surprise me to see them run together.

However it is worth noting that Thompson has been out over a week now and hasn't endorsed McCain.

6. McCain/Giuliani is scary.
Although he might go with a Southern Christian conservative type to pacify that wing of the party. Not Huckabee because he's a true believer. He needs someone who can play the part like Bush does.

11. I'm betting Thompson
to appease limbaugh and crew
and the fact that John and fred have been buddies for years

failing that, I'm guessing Rudy or Lindsay Grahm

14. Romney
He makes the most sense to me. The big business crowd may be appeased with that choice.
