From WSJ website, it seems to me Edwards is inclined to Obama...
I knew Edwards is close to Obama. Oh, well, my dream of Hillary is moving away now. If that's the case, I want it to be over sooner than later. I should not spend this much time at DU.

........
But if Edwards does endorse, he’s likely to go with Obama. The two have remained close during an exceedingly bitter race and have sometimes joined in a loose confederacy to attack Clinton, the front-runner, for her continuing refusal to reject lobbyist contributions and her deep Washington connections. Indeed, in an interview with ABC’s Terry Moran broadcast Tuesday, Obama said he had recently asked Edwards to endorse him, in a private conversation. “There is no doubt that I would love John’s support, but I also respect the fact that he is in this contest,” Obama said. The interview aired before Edwards’s intentions became public. Obama called Edwards a “formidable candidate.”

Puzzling out who benefits from Edwards’s departure from the race is complex. In a pure political sense, his populist leanings and calls for ethics reform appeal most to those who support Obama — and an Edwards exit could help Obama in larger, more urban states such as California –- the biggest prize on Super Tuesday, Feb. 5. Obama will probably also pick up supporters who are determined to see anyone but the polarizing Clinton win the nomination.....

4. I was actually more depressed by reading comment s on this article...
Again, there are so many Hillary haters.

Why Hillary is hated by both left and right?
Usually, the left should like the one right wing hates.

I don't understand.

15. Why is a mystery.
That she is is a reality that Hillary's supporters should consider.

And that she is is one of the reasons that she is one of the two favorites of the corporate media.

The corporate media chose to support her and Obama because neither can win.

Hillary's inability to win has nothing to do with her gender. It is about the terrible attacks on her in the past due to the Republicans' hatred for Bill Clinton and Democrats in general. (not her fault) It is also about her personality and a number of failings in her presentation -- her voice, her shrillness, her insecurities. (may result in part from attitudes toward being a woman, but more spiritual in nature than anything else) I understand that one on one she is quite charming, but she does not project that in per public persona. Most of us never get to meet her and talk to her one on one.

Hillary does not have the ability to laugh at herself or at the jokes people make at her expense. She takes herself far too seriously. That has nothing to do with gender or age. It's the way she is. Bill has all the sense of humor in the family.

6. "Edwards supporters are the same as HRC's "
Edwards stand on his most important issues are a polar opposite from Hillary Clinton.

Anyone who thinks Edwards would betray his base of supporters by endorsing Hillary hasnt been paying attention.

10. White working class??? WTF? Blue collar is what they are
usually called by people who are not trying to stir up a racial divide. That was a sick comment. Creating your own code language much?

8. WSJ main page is actually not bad...
Their oped is aweful.

BTW, I just learned another rate cut!! Now it's down to 3%.

Hillary and Obama now both should talk about economy.
I don't think McCain knows a lot about economy.

9. As a Hillary supporter I believe that if the polls continue to show her
leading among the super Tueseday states, Edwards will throw his support to Obama to try to stop her. This will make me very sad but I think it is true. Healthcare and women's and children's issues have been Hillary's life work but she gets little or no credit for what she has worked for. It's just a fact that both Clintons beat the inside Washington elite and they all (Dem and Republican alike) have never forgiven them for it. She can take the onslaught that is coming but I think it will pain Bill Clinton immensley. He knows that the tryst with Monica has hurt Hillary not just on a personal level but on a professional political level also.

11. Thank you for your post
What you said does make a lot of sense to me. Unfortunately, not to many Obama supporters.

There is another important thread started by Busymom about Healthcare.
No matter what people say, Hillary is the only one who can create a better Healthcare that make a difference from day one.

14. Just like in the 90's?
Her healthcare plan went over really well back then. It got swept under the rug and forgotten about when the time came to stand up for healthcare for Americans.

13. If this is true, then he needs to go ahead and endorse before Clinton claims ENDORSEMENT just like
she did in the Fake Florida Victory Rally. I wouldn't put it past her to do that and I see some of the media already proclaiming Edwards Supporters for Hillary, as well as some of her DU counterparts claiming it. Time to nip that in the bud is now, unless the fix is in for him not to endorse anyone.
