62. Okay, let me give you a nice analogy.
"Xeroxing" something means to make photocopies of it. Xerox office stations can also staple documents. When you say something is stapled, you do not say it is "xeroxed."

Photoshop, as a verb, has a very specific meaning outside the brand name. It's a meaning, in fact, that Adobe is somewhat upset about; they frequently file complaints with media outlets for using "photoshop" other than to refer to their program.

67. Sorry, that's a poor analogy. Removing staples is not using software.
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 02:43 PM by Maribelle
if you do not want to use Photo shop to crop a picture, that's fine. Use another brand. Use CorelDraw, which I use. (I told you I was an expert, remember)

you cannot crop a picture on a computer without using some brand of computer software

the term photoshopping has come to generically define the pallet of features and functions that are available within a software package, of which one is cropping

it's truly not up to you to try to define what photoshopping means or does not mean when it is cut and dried and means exactly what i said.

She's already hovering over the still warm body of his campaign, hoping to suck it dry.

If she was such a big fan of Edwards, why didn't she say so before?

Why didn't she speak out about the media black-out?

She's in it to spin it, and she will say anthing to win.

Truely disgusting.

Instead of pronouncements of gloom meant to demoralize if they weren't so damn transparent, or big deals made of small things that your average voter could give to figs about.

66. Because Obama has one year in the Senate before running and
The Clintons have been "working with" other side for 12 years as governor, 8 years in WH, 2 terms in the US Senate. They know how it's done and they know how to beat the MSM (did it three times)

Experience and electability, and the ability to communicate DETAILS of a policy to win over the public no matter what kind of MSM or GOP opposition we're facing with our agenda is what it comes down to for me.

I'm glad my candidate is under fair and UNFAIR attacks by the MSM because that's what they will do in the GE and it's better if it's old news by then, and better to see a candidate prove they can go past it to the voters.

The fact that they haven't hit Obama yet is :scared: because in my view they will finish him off a week after nomination.

They will find the usual bullshit but the opponent will also have "experience" to bludgeon him with. They will paint him as nothing else except being a good platitude speaker and he'll end up looking "weak." They made a war hero "weak"so you don't have to wonder what they will do to an inexperienced neophyte who never gets specific.

My "attacks" are nothing compared to what he's in for. Sludge, Tucker, Will Kristol and other PUKES are promoting the hell out of him. Part of it is Clinton hate but most of it is licking their chops over the possibility of an Obama nomination

I can give justifications for my opinion that she's less likely than Obama. The basic "hope and change" mantra is still the same.
