If Edwards dropping out is true and not some dirty trick of another campaign,
after saying over and over again he was staying in until the convention, and then pulls out just a few days before Super Tuesday...

...allow this Edwards supporter to express how damned disappointed I am with him. So much for staying in the race and fighting for the poor and against the corporations that run this country. So much for sticking up for the working class.

And, if this is a dirty political trick by another campaign---putting pressure on John by starting rumors that will be damned hard to defend in a week before Super Tuesday, then shame on that campaign.

If true, I will now have to go to the polls and hold my nose and vote for Obama.

1. John Edwards
is doing what he thinks is best to advance the cause that he is dedicated to. Timing is one of the essential factors in making gains in politics. I trust that John and Elizabeth Edwards -- two of the most intelligent and decent people in national politics -- are doing what they honestly believe is the best thing.

2. I'm pretty disappointed in John too.
I'm willing to hear his reasons and I hope it is nothing to do with Elizabeth and that she is well. I don't think he'll endorse anyone right off but I think I'll have to go with Obama at this point. I was really looking forward to a chaotic brokered convention.

3. I wanted him to stay in too, but we'll know more in a couple of hours
when he holds his press conference in New Orleans at 12 noon EST.

4. That "dirty trick" accusation is awful.
Maybe you should find another political party to support.

5. I didn't accuse anyone,
but, in politics I wouldn't put it past anybody, either. I've been in politics for 30 years, and I know the kind of crap that goes on behind closed doors.

Now, take your snarky remarks and have a nice day.

6. In other words, you haven't a shred of evidence, but you couldn't resist making the smear.
