If Obama gets the nominee
How many DUers would end up voting for McCain?

My husband is a Clinton supporter who is so fed up with the Obamamania that he has solidly said he will vote for McCain.....
I don't know that I would consider that...I certainly am turned of by the Obama supports that spew irrational hatred. My husband has never ever voted republican, but he would consider it in this case.

Is he an anomaly?

41. If he gets the nominee? WE LOSE...SIMPLE AS THAT FOLKS
In a race where the Democratic votes don't count and there are no delegates at stake hrc got the most votes of any candidate running in either party. McCain came in second, Romney came in third, and Obama came on forth. Edwards, who came in seventh, was beaten by both Guliani and Mike Huckabee.

Although the pundits and obama supporters in here will write off the Clinton win in Florida as a beauty contest, I can'help but to think that when a candidate who didn't campaign in the state at all comes in first ahead of all the Republicans, who have been campaigning hard there, that is to significant to ignore. And it'an even bigger victory because the Democrats who voted for Hillary knew their vote didn'even count.

So if the Democrats don't blow it by electing Obama I think this is an indication that Hillary would win by a landslide in the general election.

4. I know 2 people who will vote for Hillary or Obama -- except if McCain is the R...then they both say
they will go with McCain.
That is the only similar thing I have seen.

15. That's so interesting that someone would vote for Hillary or Obama -- but
would actually prefer McCain with his Iraq position.

Do you know why they would prefer McCain?

Being moderate, don't they have a problem with McCain's Iraq stance?

27. eh, wait until they hear more about McCain ...
... like "100 more years", or "more wars to come", or "bomb, bomb Iran"

I'm beginning to think McCain will not be nearly as formidable as the polls make him out to be. He finally had a decent speech tonight, but his war-mongering shouldn't go over all that well in November. (So long as we put up a candidate that can differentiate themselves on the war issue.)

The urge to have war for another 100 years? To blow apart another nation and kill tens of thousands in Iran? How does a marriage like that work?

26. It goes both ways people.
I know many people who wont vote for Clinton if she got the ticket and would vote for McCain. They didn't like her race baiting or how her campaign has played it dirty. I'm one of those people and unlike you I don't care what HRC supporters say. I'm ABOVE that :) I like what I like and I appreciate others who like what they like. That doesn't make me want to stop voting for HRC no matter how much irrational hatred is spewed by some HRC supporters.

No he's not an anomaly because the same can be said for people who don't trust HRC.
