FL EXIT POLLS: Voters say economy is most important issue, dwarfing the war and terrorism.

RISING IMPORTANCE FOR FALLING ECONOMY

Given four choices, nearly half of Florida Republican primary voters said the economy is the most important issue facing the country. Terrorism, Iraq and immigration each were picked by fewer than two in 10. The economy also was the top issue out of three choices for voters in the Democratic primary, which none of the candidates contested because of questions over whether Florida's Democratic delegates will be seated. The economy has been seen as increasingly important since the start of the 2008 presidential nomination season.

1. Nobody should be called "easy" to beat
But Mitt Romney gives us more to work with as an oppoition candidate than McCain.

And that of course assumes that all of the whiners on this board fall into line and support our nominee no matter who it is.

2. Oh, too bad for Rudy. Not only is it well known that he'll cheat the taxpayers

so that he can hook up with his current mistress, it's also well known that he'll bill the city for walking her frigging dog.

How will he be able to work '911' into an election where the biggest concern is about the economy?

3. I think that is just wrong
It's OK to illegally invade a country and kill 1,000,000 people, but try to get in my wallet? Get the flock out of Iraq, and our nation will save lives, regain respect, and save over 150,000,000,000 a year (the amount of the "stimulus")

4. Yeah Go Mittens! Democrats break out the flipflops!
McCain would be much harder to beat although part of me would love to have seen Rudy G. So many scandals, so little time.

7. Duh. The economy is ALWAYS the most important issue.
The dinner table comes first. Always has. Only when things are going well do secondary issues become important.

8. Getting out of Iraq and Afghan will go a long way towards getting the economy back on track.
