We do not believe getting elected is 80% social perception and 20% political policies. The only thing keeping * from a third term is the 22nd amendment.

Why do only have 35% of citizens vote in the GE? We need to learn how to get the citizens involved with the process and get them registered and to the polls.

In the 70's it was taken as a given that Republicans interacted with each other 3 times a week and Democrats 3 times a month. Today its like every 4 yrs. We have got to do better.

1. Dems think they are making emotional appeals with bland platitudes--there has to be an element of

conflict to get a visceral response from people.

2. Should we adopt the European idea?

Make voting compulsory.

85% turnout in France.

90% in Belgium and Holland.

And it goes all the way down to municipal elections.
