CBS: "Apparent snub of Clinton by Obama"
They're running with it:

The Dynastic Duo: The endorsements of Ted, Caroline and Patrick Kennedy of Obama yesterday have been treated as much like an actual royal coronation as a political move. So enthralling is the spectacle that it actually dominated the president's State of the Union address last night. There were Senators Obama and Kennedy sitting next to one another like best friends throughout Bush's speech, soaking up the atmosphere and attention. Papers this morning are full of pictures and descriptions of that dynamic – especially the apparent snub of Clinton by Obama when she approached the duo to shake hands.

5. Common courtesy. You would expect a presidential candidate to extend common courtesy
to a lady and fellow senator. Regardless of how Obama supporters my try to spin this in hopes of a better result, the perception is that Obama looked small by snubbing her.

13. Obama's campaign is based on him being the "reach out" candidate.
A picture's worth a thousand words.

14. And his response is already in the press.
It was an awkward moment after the day's events. He was giving HRC & Kennedy a moment alone.

21. Huh? Obama didn't acknowledge Hillary at all. No nod, no smile.... nothing. Extremely rude
behavior. Axelrod's excuse about a "private moment with Kennnedy" is just a lame attempt at damage control.

20. How DARE she be so RUDE!!!!!111
I'm not directing this at you kittycat, but all of this crap is just that, crap. If you give a shit, you're just a fanboy/girl. Grow up and get over it.

This isn't a damn Hollywood movie, people are complex in real life and relationships aren't always perfect. Honestly, I'm glad they're each other's nemesis right now.

25. OH, MY GOD! HOW DISGUSTING OF HER!
Personally I could care less about any of this, but the fake outrage from some of the Clinton supporters is getting out of control.

3. All of the BS on how the Kennedy's are "passing the torch"
this morning have made me want to puke. The media has not even given this Rezko thing a passing glance. Makes me wonder why they are pushing Obama so much.

7. They may be pushing him now. If he gets the nom
expect them to learn the word "Rezko" and use it frequently. They're building him up in anticipation of tearing him down later.

You don't have to wonder. They want the repuke to win in the General Election, so their job is to make sure the easiest Democrat to beat, Obama, gets the Democratic nod. That's why they completely shunned Edwards and are running Hillary into the ground as much as they can.

Once Obama gets the nod, if he does, the media will turn on him like a junkyard dog.

16. I just got that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.
You are so right. I just have been so suspicious of it all. I see Obama lovers so excited to get all of this media coverage. But the media has not been our friend for a long time and it is no different now. This is the same media that has give Bush a free pass for so long. They have corporate interests at heart and would favor a Republican back in the White House. God, how I wish you were wrong. But in my heart I know you are right. Clinton's garbage is already out there, but Obama's is not. It would be hard to beat her. But it would be easy to cream him if he were nominated. Ugh. My head hurts!!

19. Yup, it's easy to see why the media is so excited over him
when you really think about it. There is so much at stake for them.

4. Remember folks, this is the media
talking. They just have to stir things up even if it means nothing. Many of the talking heads are going to pounce on this and wring it out until it is lifeless.

10. "Obama also maneuvered himself to shake Bush's hand."
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/01/realpals.html
Obama also maneuvered himself to shake Bush's hand. They exchanged smiles and, in the true Texas style of governors greeting legislators, Bush said, "Hey, buddy, how's it going?"

24. and in Maureen Dowd's words, he could flick them off like a fly
why wouldn't he allow HRC her moment with Ted; even if you don't like HIM, it doesn't do her any good now anymore, now does it. GROW UP. Obama appears to be the only grown-up these days, whoever you're supporting, or NOT....
