Today at least five Americans died in Iraq.The first bank failure of 2008 occurred. Chrysler offered another 10-12K buyout/severance deals.John Negroponte admitted we had waterboarded prisoners, but "haven't done that in years". Our failed President reported on seven failed years...
Today at least two posters said they had been or would be foreclosed on in the prior or next month.A posters sister-in-law had been found dead of likely alcohol or drug abuse.At least three posters were leaving DU in either sadness or anger over "handshake" posts.
And who wants this "devolution"? It ain't sane DUers and it sure ain't those affected by the news above.It could be the pundits and the republicans, but it ain't me....
Others have written here of the kind of anger that drives our friends and fellow democrats to lose it here and join flame wars of who disrespected who and how the past flame wars are driving the new.As a supporter of John Edwards, I am doubly appalled-if my candidate can get no media coverage for his positions then it should weigh extra-heavily on the supporters of Clinton and Obama to see that positions are what their candidates coverage is about.
But tomorrow the circus begins anew and we all know what the MSM will be covering.And when you engage in flame wars against your democratic colleagues here instead of asking the media to move on to policies and positions,you will help feed it.
