The Media Fund, a Democratic group run by former Clinton official Harold Ickes and former Kerry campaign manager Jim Jordan, is planning to weigh in soon, too. The group is planning to spend tens of millions of dollars on ads defending Kerry, assuming he's the nominee, in the lull between now and the convention this summer. While Media Fund by law can't coordinate its activities with the Kerry campaign, it's no secret which states will be targeted.
