Obama talking points about the incredible South Carolina victory
From an email:

The people of South Carolina voted for change. They rejected the divisive politics of the past and chose progress for the future. Barack Obama won because voters in South Carolina wanted to bring this country together, and change the way business is done in Washington so we can finally stand up to the special interests and solve the problems that matter to ordinary Americans.

The politicians and pundits who tried to turn this election into an exercise in division underestimated the voters of South Carolina. The voters chose to reject the same old divisive politics that has distracted us from solving our problems for so long. Because they know this election isn’t about race or gender, income level or education level, it’s about the past versus the future. And the future won.

After four contests in every corner of this country, Barack Obama has the most votes, the most delegates, and the most diverse coalition of Americans we’ve seen in a long time. In South Carolina, Barack Obama won every age group, won among women and men, and did much better with white voters than many thought. Nearly 15,000 South Carolina volunteers came out on Election Day to help Barack Obama’s movement for change. That’s the kind of coalition that will help him win in November, and that’s the kind of coalition that will help him bring real change to America as President.

By a factor of more than two-to-one (55% to 26%), South Carolina voters said Obama was more likely to unite the country than Hillary Clinton. Nearly half (47%) of South Carolina voters believed Obama was the candidate most likely to defeat the Republican in November. Overall, change was the most important quality for 53% of South Carolina voters.

Gobama!
