I Was Out All Night Celebrating My Mom's Birthday
Can someone give me a concise recap of what the night was like here? I've been glued to DU all week and of all days, I had to miss the South Carolina results tonight. I was out from 6:00 to midnight.

What was the mood here like tonight? How bad or good did it get?

1. The mood? Terrible.
Sour grapes and gloating all over the place.

2. If GD: P were a sporting match, all the teams would've been banned from the arena.

3. The Obama supporters were very happy
as they deserve to be.

There was some bashing on the part of supporters of all the candidates, but not too much.

Most people are focused on doing whatever it takes to win the White House.

5. It was horrible
The in-your-face gloating was like nothing I've ever seen before in my life.

10. Not tonight
I hide all attack posts on both sides (I don't have to with Edwards as he is almost never attacked) so I know what you're talking about.

On a normal night the attacks on Hillary are far more numerous as you might expect with the huge majority of Obama & Edwards supporters here.

6. Bill Clinton is a racist. Obama panders to blacks. Edwards should endorse Obama.
Hillary is rude for not conceding. All your delegates are belong to us.

And on and on and on and on...

I wish I'd been out with you and your mom. (Happy birthday, Majic Rat Mom! )

8. it was really nice
Nice little Italian resturant on Long Island. I had rigatoni ala vodka, opened presents with mom, had cake, then took my fiancee back home where we layed on her couch and watched Die Hard (she'd never seen it) because I told her Alan Rickman was in it. :)

13. it's pasta with a vodka sauce
sort of like a creamy, almost orange-y marinara sauce.

15. Obama's speech was the best yet
and quite a few people had the decency to say so.

Otherwise it's been a contest to see how many different ways people can marginalize the African American vote without saying nobody cares about black people anyway. Starting with Bill Clinton, surprise surprise.

I was at my daughter's baby shower this afternoon and got home to Obama winning. Pretty good day for me!
