It's questionable whether Hill would be doing as well if she didn't have Bill
propping her up. Bill played a traditional spouse's role until she lost Iowa, and then he was front and center. Increasingly, he's been the face of her campaign. And it's been effective to use him as an attack dog. But how would she be doing without her heavy dependence on him? I think that's absolutely a fair question.

1. I think most Hillary supporters would agree. Many are quite happy
with Bill's success as a campaigner on Hillary's behalf and view him as a part of why she will be a successful candidate int the GE and as president.

They do make a pretty unstoppable tag team as campaigners. They can coordinate the "good-cop, bad-cop" approach and are very effective - at least against fellow Democrats. ;)

3. She was the front-runner before Bill starting playing a more active role
I think that affinity for Bill Clinton certainly impacts Hillary in a positive way, however, I would argue that his recent role in the campaign has had both positive and negative results on her current standing in the polls.

4. nope. he didn't start playing the attack dog role and the much more visable
part until right after her third place finish in NH. There's no argument about that.

5. Right, but wasn't she ahead for months before any of the caucuses or primaries?
That is what I was referencing.

7. Yes and has never lost the Nat'l lead - would Obama be more credible than Bidden/
or Dodd or Richardson if he were white.

Would Hillary be as exciting if a male.

They are what they are - and what they are brings advantages and disadvantages.

8. Third place finish in NH? I though she won that one!
If you mean Iowa - yeah, that was the first race. Before the voting started, she was first everywhere, no Big Dog in the forefront.

9. Well by golly
So you say that once the primary season started rolling, Bill became more vocal in support of Hillary?

Amazing insight there, Sherlock.

6. I agree he's helpful. Hard to speculate. Gore won without Bill in 2000.

I used the analogy as the same platform, experience was at stake.
I can only say Hillary has been a formidable debater, a good speaker - and in my book, having a loving husband whom I also like, does NOT diminish her own merits.
