Senators Obama & Clinton - Will YOU Be In The Senate Supporting Senator Dodd?

It's looking like the FISA battle could start as early as tonight, but Senate staff are preparing for tomorrow. Which means Chris Dodd will start his filibuster, and both of you will have plenty of time to get back to Capital Hill to help.

Look, Senators. It's not like nobody cares -- polling shows that voters overwhelmingly oppose immunity for telecom companies , and to contact your respective campaigns took down the Obama email servers.

Your actions last time this came up were really unimpressive. <clip>

Sens. Clinton and Obama , telling them to do their jobs, .

And, just remember:

-- "Any immunity is immunity for those who decided it was a swell idea to illegally wiretap Americans. And that list of people begins with Dick Cheney."

2. I'm not holding my breath...

Either one of these candidates could get my vote by coming out strongly in favor of this fillibuster, flying back to DC to support this and showing me that they put the country the constitution and the rule of law above their own political interests.

3. Obama came out strongly for Dodd's last filibuster; I assume he will again for this one.

would be flying back and being there to actively assist in and participate in this fillibuster. If that's what he's doing and/or has pledged to do them I'm impressed and appreciate this.

But if his support (or Clinton's) is simply issuing a seriously worded statement then while good, it's not even close to "strongly".

7. They both want to be POTUS

and if they don't stand up with Dodd on this vitally important issue, they will show that they are not qualified, or tacitly approve of Bush crime against the Constitution. The Democratic voters should make a big stink, esp., if one does and the other does not stand up with Dodd. MoveOn or some similar organization should take out a one page ad in the NYTimes to excoriate them and put a floodlight on his/her/their cowardice and betrayal of the American people.
