The Clinton Rationale For Lying And Distorting Obama's Statements
"Hey, the Republicans are going to do it, might as well get used to it, kid."

That seems to be the impression I'm getting.

Which is funny, because:

YOU WOULD THINK Democrats would be above this.
YOU WOULD THINK A former president would be above this.
YOU WOULD THINK They'd have morals and ethics and standards.
YOU WOULD THINK That after eight years of being smeared and slimed, the last thing the Clintons would want to do is turn around and do the same thing to another Democrat.

You would think that, would you?

But then again, you have shame.

5. and you would think
that someone claiming to run on the mantle of "experience" would just be able to run on her record and her stances on the issues to win.

Unless, of course, she knew that wouldn't be enough.

3. I think the Clinton camp has gone too far... but...
If Obama can't take it in the primary, he'd be squished like a bug in the general!

6. Here's the debunking of the MSM narrative on the "LIE"
http://www.dailyhowler.com/dh012308.shtml
"Clinton made it abundantly clear. She had been talking about Statement 2. She hadn’t mentioned Reagan, she (accurately) said—she had criticized Obama’s statement about the ideas of the past 15 years. But so what? Playing it dumb—and getting applause—Obama continued defending his statement about Reagan, even after Clinton reminded him that she hadn’t challenged that statement."

9. Thank God for Bob Somersby, one of the very few people actually interested in the truth.

10. LOL
Yeah right. Bob Somerby was the worst purveyor of foul distortions against Bill Bradley in the 2000 campaign. I haven't given him a second look since.

7. So why is Obama responding in kind?
Truth is, not all the "first blood" has been drawn by the Clintons.

The eternal meme of "the Clintons are liars" is also unsupportable. Not only are they no worse than other politicians, they are more careful than most (in which case, they are accused of "spin" and "triangulation").

And Obama is going to have a big problem if he continues to rely on people thinking he's virtuous and pure. No such being exists, and the backlash will be harsh.

12. He's been distorting his own words
He claimed his 'present' votes while in the state legislature were to protect unnamed Democrats.

The truth is, he voted 'present' for his own political purposes.
