Obama's losing the plot over Bill Clinton

Obama's losing the plot over Bill Clinton

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, pissing off reporters Barack, not good.

Is Bill Clinton Getting in Obama's Head?
January 22, 2008 6:13 PM

ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: It should have been an easy question for Sen. Barack Obama: “Are you allowing President Clinton to get in your head?”

Yet, it took Obama three tries to answer the question, in what turned into a testy exchange with the New York Times' Jeff Zeleny following a campaign event in Greenwood, South Carolina.

"I am trying to make sure that his statements by him are answered. Don't you think that's important?" Obama shot back, while walking away.

When Zeleny yelled a follow up question suggesting the Illinois senator had not answered the question, Obama fired back angrily, "Don't try cheap stunts like that."

Obama then walked away and shook hands with the mass of voters that surrounded him.

A few minutes later, Obama came back and confronted Zeleny again.

"I will answer your question though off the record, would you like to talk off the record?" Obama asked. Zeleny refused to go off the record and then motioned toward the gaggle of TV cameras gathered around him.

Obama then returned to his supporters and began shaking more hands before returning a third time to the group of reporters.

"My suspicion is that the other side must be rattled if they’re continuing saying false things about us," Obama finally responded, ignoring follow up questions as he left the room.

1. Good for him. He needs to fight back. Bill Clinton behavior is unbecoming a president.

The media needs to stick to the issues and needs to quit goading candidates for ratings.
As a voter, I'm SICK of it. Its 2004 all over again! And the general hasn't even started!

Our democracy is in danger people. We all need to stand up!!!

7. But if people think Bill is getting to him, he'll lose appeal.
He shouldn't be fretting over something a candidates spouse said. At best, some of his underlings - or HIS spouse - should deal with that while he stays on message.

9. The spouse is a former president and he is damaging his wife's campaign
And reminding people of Bill's "bad side" which is coming to the fore once again. He appears slimy and power hungry. Not helpful. Not at all. If he does this if his wife gets the general, not a single independent will cast a vote for Hillary and frankly, a lot of dems may stay home finding no difference in maturity level and substance between Hillary and the repubs.

The thought of a clinton co-presidency is a turn off to a lot of people outside of DU.

19. Well, that's your opinion. The reaction I'm mostly seeing in TV and Internet-land is that Barrack
is taking the bait and getting it on with Bill.

Maybe that's Obama's choice, with the intent of making Hillary look secondary to her Husband.

Or, maybe he's just gotten a bit flustered and off-course by Bill.

It'll either play out some more, providing us a clearer picture, or it will blow away and ultimately have little effect.

20. THAT is fighting back? Ohmygod. The more I hear about him
the more I see that he is simply not Presidential material.

2. Ouch. That's almost a Mittens Moment. Seems the Clintons have suceeded in
their quest to drive him off message. Hopefully he'll get a good night's sleep and be back on his game tomorrow. I could have easily thought up several supersnarky comments in retort, but you gotta know Obama is trying to measure every word now. What an absolute shame.

5. Uh, oh. It would seem that 'Obama' and 'Testy' are two words that are courting.
It's not quite 'rice and beans' or 'eggs and bacon' but they do seem to be in proximity of one another alot, lately.

8. You know something, I have a feeling we are starting to see the True Obama

I don't think he's anywhere as nice as he's led a lot to be believe. The mask is slipping.

You do not and i repeat not, survive Chicago politics being nice and clean.

There is going to be a major temper blow up soon , i can see it.

14. Time will tell, I guess. He could be having a bad couple of weeks, or he could really
be a short-tempered guy who isn't used to having to scrap and claw in a campaign.

After all, his Senate campaign was a springtime stroll, he ran against a batshit crazy carpetbagger opponent who had some STRONG negatives. It wasn't even a contest.

then how would he withstand the weight of the entire world on his shoulders?
